Did a super fun and fab class with Dawn last night. I am so in love with art journaling I could do it all day.

Here are some peaks at it. If you want to learn, definitely check out Dawn's blog and take some classes from her - she rocks!!

The Inked Stamper

And I was so inspired by one of her other classes I took I started another journal page using the same technique! Can't wait to keep playing with it!!

I really love all the great people I have met and who have inspired me since I started my crafting journey. Thanks my crafty peeps for all your love and support!

Stay crafty!

Monday 29 June 2015

So, I didn't get as much crafting as I thought I would with my husband away. I guess I didn't have the motivation I thought I would!

But I did get some stuff completed. First, I finished week 11 of my Inspiration Wednesday class. I really like this week and the technique.

As a matter of fact, I liked the technique so much I used it on another project. I signed up to an Art Journal swap. I had to make anywhere from 3 - 10 art journal pages. They had to be 5 X 7 and the theme was Go Crazy so I just decided to have fun with this technique and my other paints and stuff. I ended up doing 6 pages, though 3 were the same (the Be Bold ones). I also had to make sure the back had something on it rather than being plain.

Overall I think they turned out ok. I hope the others in the swap who get them think so!!

I also did up a page from my Monday Night Class Calendar club. I had some fun pictures of my nieces from when they visited a farm and were playing with baby goats! Sometimes it is fun to just do a page someone else has designed. No thinking involved!! It was too hot to think this weekend.

So hope you all have a fun crafty week my peeps!

Thursday 25 June 2015

So I have done a bit more crafting this week. I got in my latest Stampin Up order and wanted to make Thank You cards for the wonderful ladies that always support me in this venture. I had fun creating with the new products I got. Can't wait to do more with the watercolor stamps I got!

Monday 22 June 2015

So with my hubby gone for the whole week and me trying my best to stave off the loneliness and boredom I am likely going to get a whole lot of crafting done!

I did finish a swap I had signed up for through A Lil Scrap of Heaven. I hope my partner likes it!

I plan on spending tons of time in my craft room tonight so will post pics as I progress!!

Thursday 18 June 2015

Things have been a bit nuts with work and as a result, I really haven't had the chance to do much scrapbooking - other than shopping of course!!

This is the happy mail I received last week from Donna Downey! I can't wait to play with it all!!

I did also find out that one of my swap partners got her box of goodies for the ATC swap and Butterfly swap we were paired in. I was waiting to post pics until she got it and I am glad I did! She takes better pictures than me so I am gonna post the ones she took!

Since my hubby will be away all next week, I will likely get lots of crafting done to stave off missing him! So expect more posts next week my crafty peeps!!

Monday 8 June 2015

So I didn't get much crafting done this weekend, but I did get some done!

I finished another week of Inspiration Wednesday - I only have one week left and I am totally caught up. At least until Wednesday when the next class comes out!!

And I finally got around to finishing the canvas class I took via Facebook with Dawn Prichard from The Inked Stamper. I really love how it turned out!

I got some other projects started so will post pics of those when I get them done!

Thursday 4 June 2015

So as has become my normal, I spent a bunch of time art journaling this weekend and week. As well as playing with my new Dylusions paints and coming up with a page on my own, I finished week 9 of my Inspiration Wednesday class. I changed things up a bit, based on how thick my journal is with the letters I used in week 8 as well as not having the same stencil as Donna. I did do some things like she did. As always a great lesson in new techniques! I am soooo loving this class and if you love art journaling and mixed media you really need to sign up!!

I also worked on a page inspired by the fabulous Dawn Pritchard and her Mixed Media class I am taking. I missed out on the first month of the class as I didn't think I could take it as I live so far away. It was before we figured out I could do the class via FaceTime. The first month she did this uber fun page using the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamps. I really loved it but she wasn't going to do it again, so I just used her picture as an inspiration.  Here are some peaks at what I came up with!

So much fun - I luv luv luv these bird stamps. I think they are my absolute fav crafty item!!

Well, I guess I should actually do some work today that will pay all my crafting bills!

Have a very crafty day all!!

So I had a really crafty weekend and I realized on my last post that I said I would post more pics tomorrow - i.e. on Monday - and low and behold it is Thursday and I just realized I never did post any pics!! Man it sucks when work and life gets in the way of crafting!! LOL :)

So one of the things I "had" to do this weekend was work on my June calendar as Monday was June 1st! I have this great calendar I got from Monday Night Class - every month I have a new layout to do. I think the picture I used for this page is about the 3rd or 4th I have used from our Jasper trip last summer. At this rate, I will have the album for that trip done without having to design any pages myself! Check out their site - great place to get layouts that all you have to do is follow instructions and insert your own pics!!

Monday Night Class

I also got a chance to play with my new Dylusions paints. I wanted to see what all the colours looked like, so what better way than to do a journal page with all of them! The colours are sooooo vibrant I just can't WAIT to do more with them!!

I also finished a couple swaps I had to make for the same person - ATC's and butterflies as well as a box to put them in. Since I think Renea sometimes checks my blog and she wants to be surprised, I will only put up sneak peaks for now. I hope you like them Renea!!

Well that was my productive weekend! I also got some other journaling pages on the go, so will post a separate post about them shortly!

Craft on everyone!!
