Crafty goodies

So I have had a couple lazy days and didn't get to my craft room. But I did get some happy mail yesterday. Scrap Addicts got in some new goodies and I had to replenish my flowers. Love these new ones I got.

The other goodies I got are for an upcoming class with Scrap Addicts. In September they are doing two days of classes with a whole bunch of other stores. We had to buy the kit, which was a great deal, and then we get two days of great classes. Looking forward to it.

I might get down to my craft room in the next day or two, but I am not sure. I am also going camping this weekend so should get a chance to do more on my diamond dot project. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Still on a Roll!

As I said, I was still in the craftying mood after the crop so spent more time in my craft room yesterday.  First up I did a layout using a photo of me and a couple of my Aunts from when I was 6 months old. I was going to use it for the 4 patterned paper challenge but came up with something else. I really loved the photo though so wanted to do a layout with it. I am really happy with what I came up with.

When I found this paper I also found a card kit that I didn't realize I had. So of COURSE I had to make the cards! You can't have too many cards - LOL!

Towards the end of the crop I got my crop photo - I wasn't going to do anything with the photo, but then I realized it wouldn't be a crop without doing a layout with my crop photo.

Last up for the day I wanted to do a layout with the glasses make n'take we did yesterday. I figured I could use it on one of my cruise/beach layouts. So not only did I do that layout, I did a couple more cause again, I was on a roll.

I feel like doing more crafting tonight, but not sure if I will. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

TREASURED MEMORIES VIRTUAL CROP - LAKE LIFE

So had another successful virtual crop this weekend. Got A LOT done that is for sure.  I am still in the cropping mood so I am going to do more today, but wanted to post all I did during the crop. They always provide a great challenges and make n'takes for us to do at the Treasured Memories crops. The crop started off with a cute make n'take - a litte sail boat. Love how it came out.

Next up was a challenge to use all squares - I decided to use my inchies and twinchies for this challenge, since I had just finished them off. Got them all packaged up to send to my partner - hope she likes them.

There was only two challenges for Friday night and the second one was to have a water theme. I wanted to use some of the die cuts they gave us in our goodie bag as they went perfectly with the pictures from the next cruise album I wanted to start.  Really happy with how they came out.

For Saturday, the first challenge was Black and White, and I had a couple black and white photos of me with my Dad and Grandma that I wanted to use - and I found some great monotone paper for the layout as well.

Up next was the first make n'take of the day - this time it was a layout. I even had a picture in mind already for it. Turned out great!

On a roll now, I did some more layouts. The next two challenges were using stiches and using matting. I had fun with both of these challenges.

I loved that I was able to make the marshmallow look actually gooey!!

For the second make n'take of the day we did a set of die cut sunglasses. I love how they came out - I didn't get the white pieces in my bag for this kit. But I didn't let it stop me - I added more "fluff" for the clouds and a gem for the middle of the beach ball.

We even took a fun photo with all of us WEARING our glasses! So fun!!

I did another layout next, the challenge being using at least 4 different patterned paper. I had another photo from one of our trips to Hay River. I even had actual driftwook to put on the layout. Turned out so great - I also used another die cut they sent in our kits for the layout.

And then the last challenge for the day was to use corner rounding. For one of my last swaps my partner sent me some really nice paper. I wanted to use it on something, so decided to use them as card backgrounds. I wanted to use some of my Tim Holtz stuff too - I love how they all came out!

All in all, another very productive crop. I have more ideas on other projects and still want to do more cropping, so want to get to it. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

More Crafting

I got a bit more crafting done last night - I finished another swap project. This one was a new one for me. I had to make things called Inchies and Twinchies. You had to make little art pieces that are 1 inch X 1 inch (Inchies) and then some that are 2 inch by 2 inch (Twinchies). I had a little bit of trouble figuring them out as they are so small, but I think I did ok. Hopefully my partner will like them!

While I was in my craft room, I did a bit more work on my Octopus canvas.
I am really liking it so far.

I also got an absolutely AMAZING swap in the mail yesterday. My partner in the Oversize Tag swap with ReneaBouquets came and my partner TOTALLY SPOILED me!! I think this is one of the most phenomenal swaps I have ever gotten. And so funny that we both used the same paper line on our tags. Great minds think alike!!

I got quite a bit of happy mail today too. Scrappy Apple Scrapbooking Supplies brought in the new Dina Wakely sprays for me. A couple are still on the way but I love these new colours and can't wait to play with them all.

I had ordered some fun Moose stamps from a new company I found out of the UK called Hobby Art Stamps. I mean come on, they had MOOSE on them, I HAD to have them! LOL

Finally, I got another swap in the mail today. This time it was an altered match box. My partner made me a super cute one, as well as sending me lots of fun goodies. A good day to be me!!

I am just waiting for the work day to be over - even though I am not working that hard! And then I get to spend tonight and all day tomorrow crafting with my pals via ZOOM. Gonna be a fun weekend. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

LOTS OF HAPPY MAIL!!

I got some GREAT happy mail yesterday. The crop for Treasured Memories - the lake theme - is this weekend and they sent me my kit. I think we got almost DOUBLE what we got last time.

I also still had a fairly big credit left at the store too, so I did a whole bunch of shopping. I got some great stuff - including all the new Stamperia Arctic/Antarctic line. I love it all!!

I realized that with all this new stuff that I needed a bit more storage. I picked up small three drawered organizer. And I already have it all filled! LOL

I also got my journal page finished. The amazing Vicky Papaioannou is such a great inspiration - I just LOVE her tutorials. Here is how my page came out.

And here is the link to Vicki's YouTube tutorial that I followed to make it.

I am hoping to do more crafting tonight, and I have a whole weekend of cropping ahead of me. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Wednesday 19 August 2020

Well, doing a journal page a day this week didn't work as planned! I got home Monday and was just feeling super lazy so didn't go down to my craft room. I did last night though, and did get more work done on one journal page, but I didn't get it finished. I hope to finish it tonight, but this is what I got done so far.

I basically spenta ton of time in my craft room last night and got lots done, but nothing finished! I am in a swap where we have to make what is called inchies (1 X 1 inch squares) and twinchies (2 X 2 inch squares). I got them started, and think they will look cute when done.

I also did a bit of work on another canvas - put down the first layer of Stamperia tissue paper. I have a ton more ideas so hope it comes out like I want.

I am going to put these molds on the canvas, so added antique paste to them to make
them look aged. I kinda like the cracked look to the octopus too.

I also got some fun happy mail today - a surprise too. I sent some golf shoes to a Facebook pal and as a thank you she sent me this yummy jam! Nice surprise for sure.

I am hoping to finish my journal tonight, and maybe start another. And work on my canvas. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Weekend Crafting

So this weekend I did a bit of EVERYTHING! Golfed on Friday, hung out with my grandkids on Saturday, and even got down to my craft room. I finished up one of my vacation albums by doing the last two pages for it. It was made easy by the kit that I got from Scrap Addicts - I love the cruise kits that Michelle created!!

I also ended up playing with a bunch of my newer Tim Holtz products - I made a card for my sister-in-law to send her with the Creative Scrapbooker Magazines I found for her. I used my new Professor stamp set, the Distress Glaze, Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Oxide Inks. I even put crackle accents on the glasses to give it a funky look. I hope she likes it!

I was hoping to do some journaling this weekend, but other than watching a video from a journal class I didn't get to it. My plan this week is to try and do a journal page a day. Fingers crossed! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
