GRIMSHAW CRAFT WEEKEND - DAY 3

Well it was another great day finishing off our fabulous crafty weekend. I finished off a couple things. One of the projects that we have done at the last couple crops is the puzzle board project. We each get a puzzle piece and decorate it how we want.  This is the one that I did.

And the finished board was so cool - seeing all the different things people did with their pieces. The end result was so cool and unique.

They gave it away in a draw and I was hoping to win it, but I didn't. One thing I did get though was from my pal Helen. She won this cute moose and gave it to me!

We didn't have a full day today, but I was able to finish off the ATC's that I had started when prepping for my class. As I said, I used each of the 4 different Finnabair Texture Pastes on both black and white backgrounds so the ones taking the class could see the different looks you could get. I ended up with 8 different ATC backgrounds. I gave one to my pal Wendy and the rest I will be able to swap. I need to take some better photos of all of them but here is the one for Wendy and a couple of the other ones I managed to get a picture of.

All in all, it was a really fun weekend. I can't WAIT to do it all again with most of these same gals in two weeks! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps.

GRIMSHAW CRAFT WEEKEND - DAY 2

Day two was as much fun as day 1 at the crop.  And it started out by us being spoiled with goodies!

And then we got spoiled AGAIN with the 30 Things that everyone brought.

And of course the goofiness continued!

We did get a bit serious and took a really awesome group photo!

I also got both the Halloween projects done I was working on. I will do a separate post on those when I can get some better photos. But here are some sneak peaks.

And I also taught a class at this crop. We used the new Finnabair Texture Pastes and as usual even though I showed them all the same techniques, everyone came out with something different and uniquely their own! I love teaching classes!

Again, another great day crafting with some awesome ladies! And we still have one day left! So till then, stay crafty my peeps!!

Friday 28 September 2018

So we had an absolute BALL night one of the Grimshaw crop! I really just love hanging out with all my crazy crafty pals. Take a peak at all the crafty craziness!!

The crafty adventure has begun

And I get to see one of my besties!

And amidst all the visiting and goofiness I did manage to get some stuff done.
Above is the work I did on the Shadow Box I am making for a swap.

And I prepped for the class I am going to be teaching in the morning. I wanted to show everyone in the class the different colour options they had.
And then I will have all these as bases for ATC's.

Cannot wait to do it all again in the morning! Till then - stay crafty my peeps!

GRIMSHAW CRAFT WEEKEND - DAY 1

So cannot WAIT for today's crafty adventure to start! All packed and ready to go! Will post more later once the festivities begin!!

Thursday 27 September 2018

My trip to the city included more than just carnival/crafting.  I got to spend time with my family and friends. And did more shopping! And collected more prizes for the Croptacular next month. It was a pretty successful day!

Started out by taking my nieces to the Edmonton Comic Expo. They are so creative when it comes to the costumes they do - this year they went as characters from a game called
DETROIT BECOMING HUMAN

Then I spent most of the day hanging with my friend Tricia. Since we don't tend to take pictures of each other, I don't have any of us. But we did have an AMAZING lunch!

And we did some super shopping!!

And I got to hang with my folks and with my nieces.

It was really a great trip! And now I get to spend this weekend crafting with more of my crafty peeps. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Carnival Weekend - Day 2

As usual, day two of carnival was just as crazy fun as day one. I never get a lot accomplished at Carnival because it is a LOT more about visiting and SHOPPING!!
And I did TONS of both - LOL.

I did finish one project I started on day 1 - I brought page kits with me to work on
from Byrds Nest Paperie. Made it easier to pack, but they took longer than I thought! LOL
So since I didn't think I would have the time/brain power to do another kit I did more
Make N'Takes

This one was taught by Scrap Addicts

And this one was taught by Treasured Memories. They were both cool because
they taught me how to use products I already own!

Then Treasured Memories got in the new Finnabair Icing Pastes - and they ROCK. I made a few things with them too so felt like I actually got stuff accomplished.

I made this card.

And tag

And got another layout done as well!

And then a really fun part of the weekend - I took a class with the AMAZING Nicole Wright and it was a BLAST. I learned how to do some things with products I already owned that I didn't know I could do, and I ended up with a great project out of it.
Here are some photos from the class, along with a picture of the finished canvas.

The fantabulous Nicole!

We got do much fun stuff in our kit!

And then we got started - tearing it up.

And then we had to ink up the pieces with Tim Holtz Oxides

And then add stamps and more inking

We got messy!!

This is some of the layering on the canvas - we used Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and then used stencils to remove some of the colours.

And then this is the final canvas. I totally LOVED how it came out.

But the best part of the trip really for me was getting to see my grand kids - all of them! The younger ones are just so dang cute!! Which is why I scrapbook them so much.

It was another crazy weekend and we really had a blast. Hanging with my crafty pal Cathy is always a good time. We were really tired afterwards as you can plainly see!

I had more fun before I came home too, so will post those pictures later. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

CARNIVAL WEEKEND DAY 1

So I got back safely from my whirlwind weekend at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival and thought I better get to doing some blog posts about it!!

So we didn't take any pics on our drive down, but my carnival partner in crime
Cathy and I had to take a selfie to get the day started right!!

And the madness has begun - Carnival is always a blast!

And we get SOOOOOO spoiled with our goodie bags.

I even got a couple things finished - like this layout of my adorable grand children.

And this one using the annual picture we had taken, along with some great

And I did one of the Make N'Takes for a change. I don't normally get to them, but I did this one because it uses product I already own and I loved learning a new way to use it!

After an amazing first day I had to spend some time with my grand kids that I don't get to see often enough. We had a great visit and meal once we got back from day one.

All in all, a GREAT first day! I will post more soon, so till them - stay crafty my peeps!
