Flower Canvas Class

Last night I did another super fun class with the gals at Scrap Addicts - I wanted to take this class to learn how to use my new stencil butters and it did not disappoint! I absolutely LOVE how my canvas came out! I wish I had a larger sentiment stamp, but love it none the less!

I just might have to do this canvas again in the other colours - the warm ones! I totally loved this class!! I mean I have all the supplies for doing the other colour (minus the canvas), so I might as well, right?

I also got a little happy mail yesterday and today. First I got a few goodies yesterday the awesome Rhea from R & R Scrapbooking. Had to get a few things didn't I?!

Then today I got another swap - this time a birthday shaker card. I love this new group I joined - all Canadian gals so the postage is WAY less! LOL

Now I just have to wait for the work day to end so that I can get my craft on with all THREE of the online crops I am doing this weekend! At least tonight it is just one so I can kinda get prepped! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Lazy Day

So I didn't really get down to my craft room last night - wrangling grandkids just took it out of me and I had no craft mojo! But I did get some happy mail that I am looking forward to working with!

These goodies came from Brutus Monroe - can't wait ti try the Galaxy Glaze.
I watch a tutorial and it looks super cool!! I had a major brain fart trying
to figure out the one free stencil they sent, but I think I finally figured it out!
Gonna play with it all this weekend at the many crops I am attending!!

Speaking of crops, this is my goodie bag for the Treasured Memories Crop.
The theme is 5 O'Clock Somewhere and they even sent us BOOZE!
This crop is gonna be a hoot!!

I also got some swap stuff yesterday. The first is this cute little tag kit for April.
I will post the finished tag once I get it done, likely this weekend.

The other swap I got is this super cute cigar box - full of goodies. I just LOVE all
the really awesome swaps I get from the groups I am in!!

So I have another class with Scrap Addicts tonight - not to mention THREE different NSD crops this weekend, so I am sure I will have lots to share! Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps.

Magical Moon Card Class

Last night I did an AMAZING card class with the gals from Scrap Addicts! It was to make a set of 7 cards using some really cool layering stencils, an embossing folder and other goodies! It was a lot of fun and I learned some new techniques too.

I have another class with the SA gals on Thursday - and tonight I have to try and finish off the kits I have to do for the library crop! All inbetween wrangling my grandkids! Should be an interesting night! Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

So Spoiled!

I forgot to post my other happy mail yesterday! I got an AMAZING swap from one of my Facebook friends. Sheryl and I swapped in one of the crafty groups I am in, and then we have been swapping just on our own since December. We normally do tags every month, but we did a tag and canvas this month as we were paired in a canvas swap and just decided to do it for one of our months. And MAN - did she ever SPOIL ME!!! I was thrilled to see what she made me. The projects are STUNNING!! Not to mention all the amazing goodies she sent along. Check these out!!

This is the GORGEOUS tag!

And the PHENOMENAL canvas!!

And ooooh all the goodies!!

I have to say joining this swap group has been so fun, as has swapping with just Sheryl! I cannot wait to see what we do for our next ones! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

SOOOOOO Much Happy Mail!!

So yesterday was a bit of a rollercoaster day for me - I was excited at first as we are getting a new embroidery machine for the store. And then I was down as my employee (who also drives a bus) has to self isolate as one of her kids on the bus tested positive. I should be fine as I am a third contact, but now I have to wait to see if she tests positive. Very nerve wracking for sure. But I got LOTS of happy mail so that made me feel better! Check out all my goodies!

A couple more goodies from Byrd's Nest that I had to get after the crop!

Then there are ALL the goodies from Scrap Addicts!

It is gonna be hard to NOT open the crop goodie bag before the weekend for sure!!

I DID open my goodies for the Seth Apter class though - and they are AWESOME!!

I also got the surprise Hot Box from Emerald Creek that I ordered.
It was a VERY nice surprise! All stuff I will use and only one thing I already had,
which I can now donate as a prize for the upcoming library crop
(along with some of the paper that isn't really my style!)

I spent most of the night working on the bears for the library crop (in between looking after my grandkids, which I didn't expect!) - luckily I have time and the group isn't too large. But 15 bears is A LOT!! LOL

So I have a card class tonight, as well as a canvas class on Thursday. And THREE (possibly 4) National Scrapbook Day crops this weekend! So I will DEFINITELY have more to share! Till then, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

#a3atcswapgroup

I was excited to see that my tags were featured in the April 2021 ATC Swap Sneak Peek Video Part 12. Amy runs such a fun group and I loved watching all the sneak peak videos, but of course I was more than thrilled to see the ones my cards were in! I cannot WAIT to see which ones I get back!! Check out the video (my cards are at the 21 minute mark).

Make sure you go check out all the sneak peak videos - but especially this one with mine in it - LOL!! Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Getting Ready for the Library Crop

So I spent some time in my craft room this weekend - mostly getting prepped for the upcoming library crop. I am doing a couple of make n takes so I had to not only design them but put the kits together. They turned out pretty good I have to say! I did a small canvas for everyone, and then a little Retro TV.

I got the TV kits all put together (though I do need to add the little clear popped out part for the TV as I had to order more and don't have them yet). Now I have to make the teddy bears for everyone!

I did also start another diamond dot kit. I got a few more in the mail as well - the ones I ordered first finally came! But I started the Steampunk Cat one I got and this one is gonna be a doozy. There are 40 colours - and a lot of them are very similar. This one will be slow going for sure.

I also got a swap done. I had to make a fairy themed tag and I am so lucky to have a husband that can cut custom shapes for me on our laser engraver. I made the wings out of clay so needed a body! It worked perfectly!! I hope my partner likes it.

I got a bunch of happy mail today, but I am going to leave that for a separate post. I have to go through and take pictures of it all! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Quiet Night, Crafty Mail

So it was a fairly quiet night last night. I really didn't go down to my craft room other than to put away my latest swap. I got some super cute tags from an amazing new swap group I joined. I just love them all!!

What I did do though was finish my lastest Diamond Dot canvas. I think I definately like doing them one colour at a time. I think it made it go faster.

I also got a nice surprise in the mail today. As well as getting another diamond dot kit - a STEAMPUNK ONE, yeah! - I got an order from Amazon that basically had some free liquid glue in it!! I had ordered some Art Glitter glue from the gals at Treasured Memories, but they didn't have the pin tip for it in stock. I couldn't find them anywhere else, so had to resort to Amazon. I found one listed as an add on for only $5.00. As far as I could tell it was only the tip. But when it came today it included two bottles of glue - a 2 oz bottle and an 8 oz refill. Score!!

My Steampunk Diamond Dot

Free glue!!

Not sure when I will be crafting next, but I have prep to do for the upcoming library crop, so I am sure I will be down in my craft room at some point. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

FINALLY Art Journaling Again!!

So last night I was able to get back to art journaling, thanks to the fabulous gals at Scrap Addicts! Before Covid hit, Cori-Lyn did a monthly art journal class, but since I wasn't in the city I didn't get to do them that often. After a year of the pandemic and figuring out how to do classes on Zoom, she has started them up again and I am SO HAPPY because now I can participate in them!! It was SOOOOO FUN getting messy again with the gals! And I absolutely LOVE how the page came out!!

The ONLY downsize to not being with Cori-Lyn in person is I couldn't get her to do the quote for me in her awesome handwriting! LOL - so I had to come up with something else. But it works!

Cori-Lyn also gave me a great tip and helped me refresh my paint brushes. It worked great! I had three brushes that didn't quite come back, but for the rest they are all like new! Murphy's Oil Soap and Scrap Addicts for the win!

Now that I am back on the art journaling train, I might just head down to my craft room tonight and work on the Under the Sea themed one I started the other day. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Crop Goodies are Arriving!

So I had an insane day yesterday and I really wasn't up to creating. But I did get the first of the goodie bags for one of the THREE National Scrapbook Day crops I am attending. This one is with The Papercrafters Workshop. And boy did they spoil us! I ordered a few extras as well, but the goodie bag itself was pretty sweet.

These are all the goodies, including what I bought on top of the crop kit.

And this is the crop goodie bag!

We even got some cookies!!

I also got a lovely swap in the mail yesterday - a gorgeous butterfly tag from my crafty pal Marci, along with some great goodies. I love swapping!!

Tonight I have an art journal class with the amazing Cori-Lyn from Scrap Addicts, that I am really excited for! So till next time - stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Very Productive Weekend

Since I didn't want to leave my house this weekend - since I got my COVID vaccine and I wanted to be a hermit - I spent the whole time in my craft room and I got LOTS done! I didn't end up doing what I originally planned, but I got a whole bunch more pages done for my younger nieces grad album. I love how it is coming along - only 15 pages left now and still two whole months to finish!

This one I had to change the title - I had originally put So Beautiful, but then when I put it into
the actual album I realized the title on the page opposite was Beautiful. So new title it was!

This one was inspired by a page my crafty pal Kassandra did for Treasured Memories - I saw
it at the store almost last fall and it took me till this weekend to finally do it. This is
the inspiration page Kassandra did that I lifted from.

I also got a couple other projects started. I have an art journal class tomorrow and one of the elements is the Arthur Colourize die. I got himwell over a year ago and this weekend was the first time I actually got around to making him. I didn't have the shades of purple that I really wanted to use, so I did shades of brown instead. I still really like him though.

Then since I was making Colourize dies, I decided to make one of my new ones - Bernice the Hippo! She is stinking cute!

I also had the idea to do a journal page with the sea themed Colourize dies I have. I didn't get them made, but I did get the background for the journal page done. Not quite what I had envisioned, but it will work for sure!

And I made a birthday card for my mom using some of the new items I got on Friday. Hopefully she likes it. Of course she will likely prefer the money in it to the card, but I had to make her one! And I had to make it a shaker card too!

I finished off my crafty day by doing a bit more of my diamond dot canvas. Don't know why, but I have ended up doing this canvas one colour at a time. I think I like it better as I don't have to concentrate so hard on what colour I am doing. It is coming along nicely for sure. And fairly fast too.

I DEFINATELY plan to go down to my craft room tonight, as I had a hellish day and I need some crafty therapy for sure. I got some great happy mail so that will certainly help! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
