Today is another day that I get to stay home and craft - France is working for me on Monday's this month so I get another day at home to be crafty! I finished off my projects I was telling you about yesterday, as well as doing a couple more things. Sunday was another very productive day for sure. 

First off, I finished the mini canvas that I started. Like I said, this was a great tutorial from Mixed Up Creative Academy - it is part of their Wellspring 2020 course. I also belong to their Facebook group called Mixed Up Creatives - I HIGHLY recommend both!! The turtorial was to do a mini canvas using denim - I didn't have any denim I wanted to use, but I did have some GREAT Tim Holtz fabric I was dying to find a use for and it was perfect for this project. Very happy with the end result.

Once I finished this, I completed the layout with my family for the Scrap Addicts challenge. I really love the photos from this project as it shows how my husband, son and grandson can all do this fun raised eyebrow look. And my grandson is so cute cause he always asks me if I can do it too and seems quite disappointed when I cannot. The layout came out even better than I expected.

After I got all these done, I decided that if I was going to work on my wedding album I should likely get it organized - figure out what photos I wanted and where. I did  short video as my crafty pals wanted to see what I was working on. I have my work cut out for me if I want to get it done before my anniversary in August. 

I was so inspired by my video that I ended up doing a few pages. These ones did not take that long as it was basically just matting the photos and doing some journalling. Most of the pages are going to be like this so I am hoping that will help me get the album done in my time frame!

I also found some inspriation this weekend - in the strangest places! Doug had to change a lightbulb in our hallway and when I was helping him and he handed the burnt one to me I looked at it and said - "OMG that is so cool - I have to put it in a project!" Am I right or what?!

I also found this Rolodex that I got from my pal Wendy when she had her store W2Scrapbooking. She gave it to me when I was on the 7 Gypsies design team.

I am going to have to find some great vintage or Steampunk projects for these items. A balloon was suggested for the light bulb, so I have to do some thinking on that!!  Now it is time for me to get back to my crafty space and do more creating. So yesterday was quite productive - another great day with my crafty peeps on Zoom. There was not as big a group of us this time but it was still fun to get to see my pals!  I got quite a few projects done so was a fun day.

The first project I finished was a journal page - this one was from another of the classes I am taking with Mixed Up Creative Academy. This one is from the free class that they are running for the year. The prompt for April was called strength. I didn't have all the same materials so I did it slightly differently, but I really love the end result. And the quote is pretty appropriate for all we are going through at the moment!

Next, I did the Saturday challenge from Scrap Addicts - the prompt was Rainbow. I decided to use the great photo I took on Friday of my niece and dog. I really love how the layout came out!

I was on a roll so decided to do another layout. I picked up this great custome Panda paper at one of my crops at Treasured Memories. I thought I had a photo of the layout they had that inspired me to buy the paper, but I couldn't find it (if KC can find it for me I will add it later). So just created this instead. And of course I had to include a photo of my Dad since I was thinking of him so much this weekend (his birthday was Friday and I had a pretty rough day that day).

The rest of Saturday was spent starting a couple more projects - I found another great tutorial from my pals at Mixed Up Creative that I wanted to do so got it mostly underway. I also started a layout with some great photos I took of my grandson, son and husband. They are amazing photos and I am loving the layout so far. And it works perfectly because today's challenge for Scrap Addicts was to create a card or layout for/about someone you love. Since I love my family more than anything it is perfect. I will post more photos tomorrow when I get everything done. I will be spending most of the rest of today in my craft room so should get both projects done and possibly more. So today is gonna be another day of crafting with my peeps via Zoom - if nothing else this pandemic is making me very productive! Friday night was not only spent in my craft room, but I also got to babysit my grandkids - I love that they are literally just down the street from me. I will have even more great photos to scrapbook. Like how cute is my graddaughter?!

Once the kids left I got to go back to my craft room - and the first thing I did was to open up my happy mail. I got it from my crafty pals at Scrapendipity. She has been doing live Facebook posts daily and in onve of them I saw that she had a bunch of cool stuff for shaker cards. Since they are one of my new favourite things, I had to get some of it. And she did not disappoint!!

Then I got down to finishing off the project I was working on for another of the Scrap Addicts L.O.A.D. challenges. This one was to use something on it that you don't normally use in scrapbooking. I decided to finish off a canvas I started ages ago. I didn't like the colours I had on it so I added a layer of Black Gesso to it so I can start new. Next I added some of the new Alcohol Ink Alloys to it to give it the colour I was looking for. I also added the alloys to the fork that I was using for my "what is that" item. I am really happy with how it came out. I didn't quite make the deadline for the challenge, but since there is a catch up day Cori-Lyn said it still counts!

As I said, today will be spent crafting with my buddies - so should have lots of pictures to post in the next few days. So till then, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

WEDDING ALBUM

As I said earlier, I wanted to post photos of the other pages that I have done to update my wedding album. I like how they are coming out. I hope I can finish my album before my 20th Anniversary. I have until August so I should be able to. This is what I have updated so far.

More craftiness last night! I got happy mail that I was expecting, got some projects finished, and did a few more challenges! I love that with all this going on I have been able to stay sane by getting so much crafting done! I have already done more posts at this point in April than I did last year till the end of April.

First off, I finished the mini album that goes with the House Box that I made for my cousin. I love how it came out. And not only did I take photos of both parts of the projects, I did a little video so you can see how it opens up. Check it out!

I absolutely LOVE the Graphic 45 Ocean Blue paper - I need more already I have used so much of what I bought. The mini album is so cute too. I hope my cousin likes it. Cause I loved creating this whole project for her.

Then I got happy mail, so decided to do an unboxking video for it - I got great stuff from Scrappy Apple and Scrap Addicts. I can't wait to play with it all - I have SO many ideas!!!

Once I went through all my goodies, it was time to finish the two projcets inspired by Scrap Addicts and their challenges and follow alongs. The first one I did was for the challenge - yesterday was Cori-Lyn's birthday so the prompt was to do something with a birthday theme. Since I had all those card bases I worked on I decided to do a birthday card. I have these great stamps from Brett Weldele that I have used a few times for birthday cards and I wanted to use my Distress Oxide Glazes as well. I love how the card came out - now I just need to find somone having a birthday!

Then it was time to do the follow along card - this one is one of my favourites I think. Took less thinking that the last one did - lol! I used the Graphic 45 Ocean Blue paper again. Love how the card came out - will definately do this card again. I have quite the collection now!

I had said I was going to post more photos of the other layouts I did for my wedding album, but I think I will do that as a separate post. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Still crafting up a storm - this pandemic is certainly keeping my creative juices flowing! And my crafty pals are helping too. I have gotten some great happy mail as well as spending so much time in my craft room. I got in an order from Simon Says Stamp with lots of cool new goodies for me to create with - I have SO MANY ideas!!

The other happy mail I got was another swap. This was for the Dragonfly tag swap and I got a really cute tag with some extras from my partner. I really love this group as I am getting some fun stuff!

I also got to do some creating yesterday as well. We had another challenge from Scrap Addicts - another layout challenge this time. Here is the layout inspiration they gave us:

I loved that it was a layout that required lots of photos, as it inspired me to do a layout for my wedding album. It will be 20 years this August since I got married and I did do a basic wedding album at the time. But of course once I got into scrapbooking, I wanted to update it. I have done a few updated pages (which I will share tomorrow I think) and now I might even keep going and see if I can finish it before my anniversary! So, this is my take on the inspiration layout!

Cori-Lyn also did another card class that I did. This one was a bit more difficult than some of the others - just because it was a little complicated on how to put in the pop up part. But I got it figured out. Not sure if I will make this type of card again, but I still loved doing this one!

My crafty pals and the gals at Scrap Addicts are definately keeping me sane during all this crazy pandemic stuff! I really love that they are running all these challenges and follow along classes. Helps keep me from losing it completely! Yesterday's challenge was called "I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW" and you had to make something using clear, acetate or vellum products on it. I had some custom acetate I got at Treasured Memories at a previous crop and I wanted to use up the last of the eyelets I had on my desk, so did another Steampunk themed shaker card. Love how it came out!

Then I did the follow along class that Cori-lyn offered. It was a cute gift card holder. I don't have anyone to give a gift card to at the moment, but it will work for the future! I also used up some of my scraps to make it. I love this Graphic 45 paper!

Since I was using up scraps, I also made another card using the butterfly I made when I was doing the Alcohol Lift Ink tutorial for my pal Dawn. I have a great supply of cards now for pretty much any event I have coming up! LOL

Today's challenge from Scrap Addicts is one that requires a bunch of photos, so I am thinking I am going to do something for my wedding album, that I have been trying for AGES to update now that my style has evolved. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
