I forgot to share some stuff from my crafty weekend! The crop was over Saturday, and I spent most of Sunday being lazy. But I did get all my stuff put away and also did some organizing as well. My pal Paula brought me up a couple more cases so that I could get my stamps better organized - I have gotten so many new ones I needed more storage space! These card holders from Michaels are PERFECT!!!

As well, when I was putting away all my stuff from the crop, I ended up going through one of my containers of paper and creating a home made "paper pack" for another friend. My pal Treena wanted a piece of the Gorguss Girl paper similar to one I had given her before. When seacrching for it I realized I had SO MUCH of the paper that I could give her a full set and still have more than enough for myself. It was fun to put together for her!

It was a fun way to end my crafty weekend. Then yesterday, I got some great happy mail. I was looking for an older Tim Holtz/Sizzix item and ended up finding it on Scrapbook.com. And they were having a SALE!! I ended up getting a few more things than I likely needed - LOL!

Last night when I was putting away all these new goodies I did a little more work on a couple journal pages. I also have some swaps to finish, so hoping to get to my craft room more this week. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

MARCH CROP WEEKEND - DAY 2

Saturday was day two of the crop, and we had another full house! Lots of great ladies to scrap with!

I was able to finish off my Vick-inspired journal pages. I LOVE how they came out!!

I also did some tags using the same techniques she showed in the video. They came out really cool as well. I so love the Dina Wakely Gloss Sprays and can see doing A LOT more projects with them in the future!

One of the things I did for the weekend was provide everyone with an ATCoin that they could decorate and then we could trade. These are the ones that people did.

And this is the one I picked - my pal Paula made it!

Another project I finished was an ATC that I started at home using the skins I made with the Stamperia Cream Paste. I brought it to show people how to use the paste as it was a prize. I figured I might as well finish the ATC!

The rest of my time was spent doing more work on my journals that I brought to work on. I did some highlights around the masks I adhered to my page, as well as fussy cutting some more flowers and butterflies to add to my other journal page.

I did do a couple quick pages in my Creativation album, but I didn't take photos. I plan on working on that album at the La Crete crop next month - and hopefully will finish it then! Had a really great crafty weekend with all my pals and can't wait till the next one. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

MARCH LIBRARY CROP WEEKEND - Day 1

The first library crop of 2020 was this weekend and we had a great time. We ended up with 21 ladies and they all had such a great time.  We got off to a great start with almost everyone attending on Friday.

I didn't get a lot done on Friday, but did do some journaling, along with all the visiting!

This is a page that I worked on, based on the wonderful video by Vicky Papaioannou.
Make sure you check out her videos to see how she did it!

The rest of Friday night was spent prepping another journal page to work on. I was inspired by the class I took in Edmonton with Tracy Scott at Scrap Addicts. This is what I got done.

And then I used the masks I created to do more finishing up on the art journal pages I did in Tracy's class. It is coming along.

I don't want to make this post too long, so will do Saturday's antics in another post. Till then, stay crafty my peeps!!

Friday, 6 March 2020

Got some GREAT happy mail yesterday - and just in time to play with it all at my crop this weekend! I ordered these awesome paint pens after seeing how great they worked when I took Tracy Scott's class at Scrap Addicts. I can't wait to play with them on my journals this weekend. They have several styles of tips so will be great for doing different things on different pages.

I also got in a new colouring book. Even though I have some at home I don't really use, I HAD to get this one as it has Steampunk designs in it! I saw a friend with it on Facebook and had to get it. Check out some of the AMAZING pages in it!!

And I am all packed and ready for some crafty fun this weekend!

It is gonna be a great time - I will post photos later. Till then, stay crafty my peeps!!

Thursday, 5 March 2020

Was able to get down to my craft room the last couple days and was able to play with lots of my new goodies. Like I said, I was going to do a video of me playing with my new gloss sprays - so here it is!

Of course my videos are no where near as good as others, but I do my best!! LOL. Here are a couple other videos of how to use the sprays.

I took a couple photos as well so you can see how the tags came out. I am going to do more on each of them, but I do really like how they look so far. The sprays create such awesome backgrounds.

I hope to play a bit more tonight as I get finished packing for my crop coming up this weekend. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

I plan on using a bunch of it this week if I can find the time - and most definately will at the crop this weekend. So till next time when I can show you my creations, stay crafty my peeps!!

HAPPY MARCH EVERYONE!!!

I had a really fun crafty weekend in the city - with only one glitch when my car decided to die Friday morning on my way to the city!! But after getting it jumped I was all good and made it to the city just fine.

My classes didn't start till Saturday, so I spent the afternoon and evening doing errands and visiting with my family and crafty pals. Had a blast!!

Then Saturday bright and early I started my class with the awesome Tracy Scott. It was a whole lot of fun and we got inky and painty and I had an absolute blast.  I really love the pages we created. I have to do some more pen work to finish it up but I am thrilled with how they came out.

Started with several clean pages in my journal

The next step was to cut out the pages as needed and created masks for the stamps I was going to use. And then after that was all the painting! Super fun - such amazing colour choices.

Then we stamped/masked!!
Tracy was explaining to us what we had to do so I had to take a video!

I decided to make each page slightly different. We had a great range of stamps to choose from.

Once all the pages were stamped, I decided to add my masks to the first page.

The last stage was the pen work - adding the white. I didn't finish as I was running out of time. As well, I want to wait till I get my new Posco Paint Pens to finish up as I need a finer tipped one than what I have at the moment. But this will be a nice project to work on while I sit and watch TV!

Tracy was really fun and a great teacher! I am so glad I took this class and got to hang out with so many of my crafty peeps that I don't see that often.

It wouldn't be a trip to the city without spending quality time with my family. My mom and her friend Gwen had a really nice breakfast before I had to head home. It was a really fun - but fast weekend. I can't wait till I get home to play with all my new goodies too! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!
