Making Tag Kits

Even though I spent a good portion of the day with my husband and grandkids, I did get down to my craft room on Saturday. I even got a fair amount accomplished!!

Part of one of the Facebook crafting groups I am in is a free monthly tag kit. I have signed up  to a couple of them and as I said in a previous post I ended up getting two of them last week. I decided I needed to make this this weekend and I am pretty happy with the results. The first one I made was from the Fall tag kit I got.

This is the fall tag kit I got from Kari

And this is the tag I created using the supplies in the kit

This is the October kit I received

There were enough supplies in this kit for me to make two different tags. This is one.

And this is the other.

They both turned out pretty cool.

I spent the rest of the day working on the journal page idea I came up with. But I am going to leave that for another post. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Stuff For My Idea

I got some happy mail yesterday - I came up with a cool idea for a journal page, but I needed some specific coloured paper. It came so now I can work on the page!

I should have time this weekend to work on it. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Latest Happy Mail

I got some fun happy mail yesterday! I signed up for another virtual crop - this one is a winter theme and is called The Perfect Winter Crop and I got their Crop in a Bag kit! It is going to all be on Facebook, so it doesn't even matter that it is on the same weekend as the next Treasured Memories crop. Being virtual I can do them both at the same time. I just loved the paper that came in the kit so had to get it. This one was definately worth the price. Check out all I got!! I am really looking forward to this one.

I also got a fun free tag kit for one of the gals in my A&E Crafters Facebook group. It is a Halloween theme and I am gonna have fun making a cute tag with it. Might even be able to make two.

I also got ANOTHER tag kit in the mail this morning too. I forgot I even signed up for it so it was a very nice surprise.

If I don't have to work too late tonight, I might try and make some tags. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Organizing and Crafting

So I spent a good portion of the weekend down in my craft room - but I think I spent more of it organizing than I did actual crafting! LOL When watching one of the great videos by one of my crafty idols Vicky P, she showed how she stores her Bigz Dies. She just trims down the label page and sticks them right to the die. I thought this was genius and had to do it for all my dies. It made me so much more organized and I can find what I am looking for way easier now!

This is what my shelve looked like before.

This is how I have them labelled now

And this is how the shelf looks now - WAY neater!!

I also did the same for all my embosslits to get rid of the useless packaging

As well, I did the small individual dies.

I can actually see what I have now - and I have room for more! LOL

I did get some actual crafting done as well. I had a swap to finish, so I got that done. It was to make some Thanksgiving themed ATC's. I love how cute the new Pumpkin Spice paper by Doodlebug so used that. I love how they came out - hopefully my partner will too.

I even made her a matching card.

Not sure if I am going to get down to my craft room this week - work is gonna be insane. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Forgotten Project and Latest Swap

So didn't really think I would get down to my craft room much this week, but when I did get down there I discovered a project that I thought I had completed years ago that I actually had not finished. It was one of my first mini albums that I created and I was using it for Theatre Troupe photos and memorabilia. Turns out I had never finished putting in all the photos. So for the last couple nights I have been finishing the album. I loved it before and am glad I finally got it done. It has held up pretty well for one of my earlier projects.

I also decided since I was crafting that I should finish the swap I was working on. The theme was Fall Altered paint brush. I hope my partner likes it as I had fun with this one.

I have more swaps to work on this weekend, and with all the snow we have gotten this week staying home in my craft room is very appealing! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Dressing up the Critters

I so wanted to figure out something to do with my critters I made on the weekend I had to get down to my craft room and create. I am stoked with what I came up with. They turned out even better than I had hoped they would!!

I was so into my creating last night that I didn't want to stop! So I made another set of critters from another of the Sizzix dies that I hadn't gotten around to playing with yet. Love these ones too - I think I am going to have to make more of the penquins for a card for my mom!!

Not sure what else I am going to do with these guys - might do tags, more  cards, or leave them for a layout. Can't decide! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Happy November Everyone!

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween and got lots of treats! I know I had a great time hanging out with my grandkids. And I even got in some crafting this weekend, so yay for me.

I wanted to give my grandkids a bit of a fun treat with their candy, so I made them some little treat bags with my Snarky Cat Halloween stamps. They turned out pretty cute!

I also decided to start making some of the tiny paper village houses from one of my newest dies. I got the bases of three houses done. I love how they look!!

Of course the hardest part was to now figure out what to do with them! I slept on it and came up with the idea to paint them as well as adding some grit paste to them to give them a bit of a stucco look. I also ended up painting them (I used Crackling Campfire and Ground Espresso). It took a few tries to get the look I wanted, but in the end I love how they look!!

While they were drying I decided to make a few more of Colourize die animals that I hadn't gotten around to yet. I made Gertrude the Giraffe, Winnifred the Zebra and Clarence the Elephant. I absolutely LOVE them!!! And I am actually getting a LOT better at making them - it didn't take me near as long as the others did.

Now I have to figure out what to use all my fun creations on. I have some ideas for all of them - and I came up with another really cool idea for more of the Clarence dies that I can't wait to do. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
