Didn't really do a whole lot of crafting last night - at one point I wasn't even sure I was gonna go down to my craft room. But I did and ended up doing the follow along card from Scrap Addicts. I decided to use the same Graphic 45 Ocean Blue paper that I am going to use for a Graphic 45 ATC swap that I am in - this way I have a matching card to send to my partner. It was fairly easy - though I messed up the first attempt. 

The happy mail I was expecting didn't arrive - but some I wasn't expecting yet did! I got a WHOLE BUNCH more gears and other steampunk stuff, as well as the new clamp iPhone/iPad holder I ordered.  A very nice surprise.

I played with it a bit trying to get it set up. I think I am going to have to do some juggling/moving things around, but I will be able to use it for sure.

My crafty pal Paula made some suggestions that my hubby should make me a stand to clamp it to that I can also set my laptop on, since we will likely be doing more of the zoom crops for the foreseable future! He said he could so that is a project for him. Not sure I am going to get to my craft room tonight, as I have actual work at my store to catch up on. Yesterday was a quite day craft wise, but I did still get down to my craft room. I watched Cori-Lyn do her follow along class and sort of did something like it. Happy with it regardless.

I also decided to do another of the Scrap Addicts challenges from the weekend - I decorated an envelope to go along with the mermaid make n keep from the weekend. It was an oversized card so needed an oversized envelope.

While I was at it, I also finished a card that I started back in Feburary when I taught the card class for a friend of mine. All I did was attach the cut out to the card base and add a sentiment, but it is a finished card now!

I also got happy mail yesterday - the Steampunk tag from my partner arrived and it is awesome! She also sent me a ton of goodies. I definately got spoiled.

I have a couple swaps to finish so will likely get back into my craft room today. I am also hoping for some more happy mail to arrive so should be a fun night. Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

So Sunday was not quite as productive a day as Saturday - for some reason it took me a LOT longer to get the projects done I was working on! Maybe I was tired from all the projects Saturday, LOL. But I did get a few things finished. Scrap Addicts had a a coulple of follow along cards on Friday and Saturday that I finally got a chance to do. The Saturday one for some reason I kept messing up, but it turned out good in the end. 

I did one more challenge for the Scrap Addicts crop - the theme for the last challenge was Take A Bow (making a project about yourself). I decided to use a photo of myself when I was 11 months old, as well as one of the new paper kits that I got on Friday. Pretty happy with the result.

To finish off the day I decided to use another of the die cuts from our Treasured Memories goodie bag to make another card. I just have to decide now who I might send it to.

It was another pretty productive weekend. Then today my sister gave me another project to work on - a gift for my neice for her graduation this year using her school photos from kindergarten through Grade 12. I am thinking of doing an album with a 12 x 12 layout for each year. She wants one for my other niece as well, but I have another year for that project, LOL!

As well, since today is May the 4th, I figured I should dress appropriately.

As expected, yesterday was pretty crazy. Trying to juggle several events was a challenge - but it was super fun I have to say!! There were Zoom meetings for both Scrap Addicts (SA) and Treasured Memories (TM), as well as my regular posse. It was a different way to spend NSD that is for sure!

Treasured Memories also sent us a list of the challenges they were going to do. Didn't help me get that many of them done on time or without rushing, but it was nice to know what to expect.

I ended up with about three projects on the go all at the same time, but the first one I finished was the first of the make n keeps that they sent us in our goodie bag. It was a cute little mermaid card. I love it - and as usual super easy to make!

Next up I finished the layout I started with the pictures of most of us as mermaids. I used just the smaller photos of the girls they included for me as they fit great on the page. I was able to use this layout as two challenges for TM (about a mermaid and fussy cutting), as well as for one of the Scrap Addicts challenges (using dots). It is so fun to make layouts using the custom paper from TM!!

While making this the gang and I were saying that we all wanted copies of all the pictures of each of us, and KC was super cool and sent them to us. Check us all out as mermaids!!

As is usual for a TM crop, I had gotten myself an outfit to wear - but of course I didn't have anywhere but my own house to wear it in with all this pandemic stuff. I did wear the mermaid tights all day, but I had to at least wear the mermaid hoodie to get a photo. My husband thinks I am nuts!! One of my mom's friends also thought I was a bit crazy to dress up just to hang in my own house!

The next challnege was to create something using a stencil, so I made a card that I think is going to be a birthday card for my sister.

Next up was a challenge to use different pieces of patterned paper - so it was another card for this one. All those card bases I made weeks ago when I was crafting with my pal Matt have certainly come in handy for all these challenges! And this one worked for one of the Scrap Addicts challenges as well - Just Wing It.

After that was a paper tearing challenge, so this time I did a two page layout. I am slowly trying to finish the album for the cruise portion of my 2010 vacation. It also worked for a SA challenge - using some of your newest supplies - since I used the new Simple Stories Vintage Costal paper line I just bought from them.

Next project was for the SA challenge to use sprays. I had tested out the newest Airless Mister Sprays I just got on some paper so used that as a background to make a birthday card for my grandson. The sticker letters are from SA as well.

Once I took a dinner break - ordering from Flamingo to make it seem even more like a normal crop - it was back creating. Next up was another project that worked for a couple different projects. For TM it was a monochromatic project and for SA it was to be something green. I made another card for this one - likely gonna be a Valentine for someone at some point.

It was then time for the second Make N Keep of the crop - this time it was a layout and I decided to use a photo I put together of all of us as mermaids for this page. Another easy project and super fun.

I ended the day by making another card - again it worked for challenges for both crops. For the TM challenge it was using just plain card stock and for the SA challenge it was using 5 stripes. I also used one of the cute die cuts they gave us in our goodie bag to complete the card. Now I just need to find someone who isn't feeling well to send it to! LOL

That was the end of both crops - and I even won a prize from TM!! I also got all of their challenges finished. I still have several of the SA ones to finish, but I plan to work on them today and throughout the week. So now I am off to do more crafting. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY

Well I hope everyone is looking forward to National Scrapbook Day - it is gonna be a bit of an insane day, as I am signed up to several different events throughout the day. Juggling them is gonna be interesting! LOL 

Before the day starts though I wanted to share how my evening yesterday went. I got the goodie bags for myself and my pals for the Treasured Memories crop - it is gonna be a fun crop for sure (though not as fun as being there in person). As usual they gave us some really fun papers - and the mermaid photos of all of us are hilarious!

While I was watching TV after supper I got my Tracy Scott inspired journal page finished. I had to add the white pen marks and decided to go with dots instead of lines - I liked that look way better. I LOVE the end result (even my hubby thought it looked cool)!!

Then to finish off the day I completed the Steampunk themed tag for the swap I was in. I really love the end result of this one - I hope my partner likes it! Here are some close ups of the tag, as well as the finished tag in full.

The first thing I did today too when I came downstairs was to do one of the cards from a tag kit I got from Treasured Memories. I wanted to create one of them to send with the swap as it is the same paper line and theme so matches great. I hope my partner likes it too.

Now it is time to get this NSD underway! I am going to start by joining the Zoom meeting for Treasured Memories to say hello and see how the day is going to progress, and then hop off that and join my regular crafty posse. HAPPY MAY!!

Well we made it through April, and it is now looking like things are going to be better in May - some of the Pandemic restrictions are going to be lifted. It would be great for things to start to go back to normal. In the meantime, I am still getting lots of crafting done - and this weekend should be a bit crazy, as it is National Scrapbook Day on Saturday and I think I am signed up for at least a dozen crops! Good thing I have lots to do. And things are still basically the same so as per usual I spent most of the night in my craft room - the rescheduled art journal class happened and I was able to do the great class from Cori-Lyn and Scrap Addicts. It was super fun and pretty easy.

Here is the final page. It was super fun and a great stress relief.  I think it is pretty funny that I ended up two days in a row doing classes with a very similar technique. I have such talented crafty people in my life! I really love that this page is also a very appropriate memory for this crazy time in my life.

April also ended with a TON of happy mail for me! I get the funniest looks from my husband when he brings me all my deliveries! LOL
