And here is a video showing some close ups of the project, along with some explanations of how I did it. As I say in the video, I didn't record this portion while doing it as I kinda just made it up as I went along. Hope you enjoy!
So I have basically finished the "box" portion of my project. I still need to do the mini album for inside, and I will likely add a few more finishing touches before all is said and done. But here is a pic of the album holder at this point. I have also included a close up of the AMAZING boat my husband made for me for the project. I couldn't figure out what to put in the front corner. He suggested a boat but having a limited selection of stores in town I couldn't find anything. So he built me one while I was out at a meeting tonight. Man am I lucky! I have the best husband EVER!!!

I just realized I didn't post my other video from last night - the next "episode" in my Seashore Project.  Enjoy!
OMG!!! I am so excited!!! I am going to be published in Canadian Scrapbooker again! My Steampunk Wishing Well is going to be in the Fall issue that comes out in September. I am so stoked! And they were so accommodating when I told them that it was so big I was worried about shipping it. I am so glad  have connections in this town to some great people. Having a professional photographer as a friend is gonna be a life saver!  What a great way to end my day!

And here is some video proof of our fun!

Had another great weekend cropping with some great gals! Lots of fun and laughs - and we got pretty crafty too!

So here is another video attempt. I think I am slowly getting the hang of this.

Tuesday, 20 May 2014

So I made a third attempt at a video! This one is a bit longer, but it is kinda blurry too. Still trying to figure out all the logistics of video taping.  Hope you like it!

So I wanted to see if I can make some videos for my latest project. These are my first two attempts.

Finished another swap project and am starting my project with my SOE May kit

Working on some of my swaps this weekend. I need them to be in the mail by June 1st and since my hubby was away most if the day Saturday, I had time!

Kaisercraft Design Team 2014 Entry

These are the project I completed for my design team entry for 2014.  I did a layout using the Paradiso Collection Paper Pack. The wishing well is my Beyond the Page/Altered Item - I made this using the small wishing well.  The Mixed Media project is the canvas attached to the Kaisercraft Dress Form. I also used the Miss Empire Paper Pack in the project.

Another craftastic day with great friends! Made more butterflies for swapping and a wedding gift for a friend! And good times with my posse! And got the first month of my calendar kit from Monday Night Class kit done too.  Check them out:

You have to see what she does - it will blow your mind!!
I did it! I finished all 7 challenges in the National Scrapbook Day crop! Was so much fun!

Thursday, 8 May 2014

I did it! I applied to be on my first design team! I was kinda nervous, though I don't know why! Now the waiting begins!

And I finished my Butterfly wishing well - I had it mostly done over the weekend but wanted to add some finishing touches with stuff that I left at home.  Hope you like!

So I did another project - loving the SOD/SOE National Scrapbook Day challenges and wanted to do as many of them as possible! Here it is!

Wednesday, 7 May 2014

I have to say I have the best husband. Not only does he put up with my Scrapbooking obsession, he built me a huge crafting space in the basement. Big enough I can have a mini-crop with my friends. Which we are doing this weekend! Can't wait!!
So I haven't posted for a couple days as I had to get back to work so I can continue to feed this obsession of mine! But I still wanted to finish at least one more challenge for the SOD/SOE NSD Crop. And since I had my tea box already started and there was a tea challenge I figured it was meant to be! Plus I wanted to give France a thank you gift so killed another bird with that same stone! So here is my altered tea box that I am giving to France. Hope you like it!

Sunday, 4 May 2014

Oooh, I almost forgot to post my make-and-take from today! I am so bad I forgot the instructors name (Michelle I think), but it used the new FlitterGlu and Indigo Flakes which I just got so had to try them out. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

Well my super packed weekend of crafting is done - though I have a few things to finish before the 8th and 12th for contests I want to enter and getting my design team app in. But it was a great time. I got a couple more projects done today and learned some techniques for my new Copic markers. Thanks to Cori-Lyn and Cat for the lessons! Enjoy the pics and keep your eyes out for more to come as I finish my contest entries and swaps!

And we begin again!
This is the great group of ladies I spent the majority of the last couple days with. So much creativity in one room - AMAZING!!!

And at a great store! You gotta go check out Dawn's new space. FLIPPNG AWSOME!!

The Inked Stamper
If you are following me - which I hope people are! - you will notice I mention SOD and SOE a lot. These are the absolutely FANTABULOUS group at SCRAPS OF DARKNESS and SCRAPS OF ELEGANCE. They are an online store/kit club that completely ROCKS!!!  I just discovered them recently and can't get enough of them. Great people, AMAZING kits and some of the most creative members I have met yet! Check them out!!!

Scraps Of Elegance and Scraps of Darkness
And I did get a couple more things done today. Finished up my time at the awesome Inked Stamper shop making a tag for the online NSD Library Crop with SOE and SOD.

As well, I did a layout (yes I do actually do layouts too!) for another challenge for that same online crop. This one was called "The Book of Me" and the picture of me I used is over 20 years old!

Ok so this blog post has been driving me a bit nuts, but I hope I have it figured now! Anyway I had quite a productive day today. I finished my wishing well for the most part. I have a few finishing touches to make when I get home as some stuff I want to add I don't have with me. I did discover it is difficult to photograph my progress once I get to the stage of adding embellishments, etc. as I kinda make that up as I go. But I have a couple of pics of the final stages, from what the pieces looked like once papered to putting it together to finished. Hope you like it!
