Got some more happy mail yesterday! And it came WAY faster than expected. When I was on YouTube the other day watching one of my crafty idols Vicky Papaioannou newest videos she got this great kit from a cool company called Pink and Main.  I am pretty sure they were at Creativation, but watching Vicky open her kit and create really inspired me! It was a sea themed kit and I just loved it so I looked into getting the subscription. I thought I was too late for this kit as they were sold out, but when I emailed to see if I could get the subscription anyway, they found one more kit and I got it!! It is super cute and I can't wait to create with it. Check out my unboxing video.

I was partly inspired to get it by the cool cards that Vicky made with the kit. Her unboxing video is way cooler than mine, and she also shows how to make some cards, so check her out too!

I can't wait to play with it all. I will be attempting camping this weekend - hoping we are NOT gone as long as last time! But I am bringing craft stuff with me this time! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

Tuesday 25 June 2019

So I was able to get more crafting done this weekend! I have one project I can't share yet as it is for my guest designer spot for A Vintage Girl, but I did finish another swap so I can post that one. I was signed up for a binder swap and luckily my partner was very understanding that I was going to be late! I made the entire binder myself, using thick chip board and then binding it myself. These are a couple of pictures of the putting together process.

And here are some shots of the finished project.

I also did a little video so you can see all the pages in the binder.

And as you can see in the video I also got some happy mail - and it was rather a surprise! I did NOT realize the size of the paper I ordered. As I told my one friend I could make myself an entire crocodile! LOL

I hope my partner likes what I made, and I can't wait to play with the crocodile paper! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

Thursday 20 June 2019

Well my weekend of crafting did not materialize after all - LOL! The week has been crazy as the fire decided to act up again and we were put back on evacuation alert! Needless to say crafting was not high on my list of things to do. But I think things are calming down again and I did get more happy mail. So I thought I would share the unboxing video with you!

I am supposed to be golfing this weekend, but with my hubby still away and having a couple more swaps to finish, I do hope to get to do more crafting. And I am gonna try - as I said in the video - to do an process video. Will see how that goes! So until next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Friday 14 June 2019

My crafty pal Leona from Scrappy Apple in La Crete had a page contest and was good enough to extend the date for those of us that were evacuated. The deadline was yesterday so I just threw it together the other night. I didn't win, but I am very happy with how my layout came out.

My hubby leaves for holidays this weekend so I will likely spend a lot of my time in my craft room. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Tuesday 11 June 2019

So I was able to get some more stuff done this week - I have been trying to catch up on my swaps and I was able to get one finished! It was a stationary set swap, and we were supposed to make two cards each in three diferrent sizes (4X4, 4X6 and 5X7). We were also supposed to do a theme for the set. My partner didn't really care what theme I did, so I found this great nautical paper set I had and made the cards from that. Here is what I came up with for her.

I hope she likes them! I still have two more swaps to catch up on, so until next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

Sunday 9 June 2019

FINALLY! I did get to go down to my craft room almost ALL weekend! It has been an absolutely CRAZY week since we got home! But I am not complaining AT ALL! I am SO HAPPY to be home and to be super busy at work - I was worried I would not be!

But getting down to my craft room has been really theraputic! I was able to start a couple swap projects that I fell behind on due to the evacuation. My partners were very understanding and I am getting caught up finally.

It was so fun to have inky fingers again!!

This project is an altered box - I got it painted and then will be papering it!

And I also started a binder I had to make for another swap. I got a lot done on it too.

And I was able to open some crafty mail that I got this week since the post office got caught up on all the packages that got back logged during the evacuation. Check out my goodies!

I am hoping to get more time in my craft room this coming week, so until next time,
stay crafty my peeps!!

Friday 7 June 2019

Getting a chance to get down to my craft room has been tough since getting back but I am hoping to spend time there this weekend! And I had an idea for a project for my guest design spot with my pal Candy! I did a couple things for a bit today, so hoping it comes together how I see it in my head!

These are my supplies for my "brilliant" idea!

Thought I would try a  paint pour using the wings - themselves and as a stencil!

And I had paint left over so we will see what I come up with for this canvas too!

Hoping I get to do more this weekend in my craft room, so till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Thursday 6 June 2019

So while I was evacuated, my AMAZING friends put together a craft weekend for me. We were supposed to be having a Margaritaville themed crop but that obviously got cancelled. So the girls threw together an impromptu craft day for me - made me wanna cry!! I don't think I have ever had so little of a stash to bring to a crop, but we sure had fun!!

It was not a lot, but I got some fun stuff done!

I just love that they threw this day together for me!

It was a small group, but we had a good time!

And these are the cards I finished - I started another envelope album (and even taught a mini-class to show the girls how to make them!) but it isn't finished yet. I will post photos later of it!

And do my friends ever know me well! Donna got me this cute chocolate moose!

And they spoiled us with an AMAZING supper one night too!

How lucky are we to have such amazing friends!!

And had a nice night playing cards. Helped keep us sane!!

It was a REALLY long two weeks, but we had such great friends helping us throughout the entire time. I am BEYOND grateful for all they did for me!! And I am so thankful that we had a home to come back to! Other than haveing to clean out our fridge, we were totallyfine! But I am definately glad to be getting back to normal. So until next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Tuesday 4 June 2019

I AM BACK!!!!!

I didn't disappear off the face of the Earth I swear! But as most of you know my small town got evacuated due to a wildfire just after the long weekend in May and we have been waiting to come back for two weeks. Even though I took my laptop with me, I didn't have a lot of internet access so really couldn't blog - and believe me I could have used the distraction. It was a LONG two weeks!!

But now that I am back I thought I would do some catch up. So these next posts will be about what happened while I was gone, and then I will try and do posts on what is actually going on now!

As I had said in my last post in May, we were going to spend the May long weekend camping, and we did have a lot of fun - before everything went to hell!! LOL My dogs love camping and I got some great photos that I hope I can scrapbook soon.

As always, my dogs were excited to go camping!

And Moose figured that the new chairs we got were for him!

When he wasn't being a lap dog!

And is it any wonder we love camping here?! It is so beautiful!!

I did just get home though after being gone for two weeks, so have to do some cleaning and organizing. I will try and get some more posts up soon. Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!
