Monday 29 February 2016

So I spent most of the day Sunday in my craft room - but I can't say I feel that accomplished! I have about a DOZEN projects on the go but I really didn't finish much. LOL

The one thing I did get done was my March calendar page from my Monday Night Class kit.  It is so easy to do these kits when I have so many GREAT photos of my grandson to choose from.

Then the only other project I actually finished was the second last week of my 2015 Inspiration Wednesday class. My colours didn't turn out as pastel-like as Donna's,

But then I did a glazing layer using Titan Buff and that helped. Overall I was happy with the end result. Now only one week to go and I can move on to 2016!!

Then I started a whack of other projects - mostly to use up the paint I had on my pallet from Donna's class!

So I started a canvas with some of the leftover paint

As well as another canvas - I also added white crackle to this one

Then I started a set of 4 canvases - I used the new sculpture medium I got from W2Scrapbooking on this one!

And I started my dress form I got from the awesome Deb from Chic Craftique

And I started another journal page with more of the leftover paint

And a canvas to showcase my nieces Halloween costumes from 2015

Tuesday 23 February 2016

So I finished up another project last night. The story behind this one is kinda funny.  I was in a dress form swap that I completed yet never heard from my partner. This is what I made for her.

So after not hearing back from either my partner or the organizer for almost a week, I went on to my Chic Craftique site and asked anyone if they wanted to swap with me.  Well right after I got someone to swap with me and I sent it, I heard from the organizer that my partner sent me something.  I still haven't received it, but I wanted to make something for when it shows up so I can send it.

This is what I made!

My problem now is that I like this too much and want to keep it!!! Luckily I have a ton of dress forms in my stash so I am just going to make her something else - if I ever get anything from her that is!

Till next time stay crafty my peeps!!

Monday 22 February 2016

I had the most fabulous weekend with a GREAT group of crafty ladies! Our High Level Library Mini Croptacular was a great success. Not only did we make some money, I actually got some crafting done!

I finished a swap - a pocket letter for one of my partners.

I also got more work done on another swap project - this one is folio

And after that I got some ATC's done. These are one of my favourite because they are Steampunk!

All in all, a totally fabulous weekend with an amazing group of gals!!

Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

Thursday 18 February 2016

We are famous!! My ladies and I from our fundraising crop back in October 2015 are in the latest issue of Creative Scrapbook magazine!  YEAH!!!

Tuesday 16 February 2016

I hope everyone had as great a Valentine's weekend as I did. Not only did I get to spend tons of time with my sweetie, I got some crafting done!

I did up some final touches on some prizes and name tags for the crop I am running this coming weekend. I really hope everyone is ready for a really great time!

As an added bonus I finally got a chance to play with the Minc machine my hubby got for me for Christmas.  I used it for making the tags for the crop!

Then I went about organizing the TON of new goodies I got from a friend and for Valentines Day from my hubby (he knows me so well!!). It took me forever, but I have some really cool new stuff!!

Then I started working on some swaps, as well as some journaling. All in all a pretty crafty weekend!

Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Friday 12 February 2016

I have spent the last couple days getting ready for the crop I am hosting next weekend.  I have prizes coming from all over the place - my ladies are gonna get so spoiled!!!

A prize from the great Gert Lewsaw and her Close to My Heart

A TON of prizes from my peeps in Edmonton

A great goodie basket from the gang at Scrappy Apple in La Crete

And these boxes contain a TON of stuff - goodie bag prizes and more!

Now I REALLY can't wait till next weekend. I now just have to figure out what kind of technique classes to teach people!  That's my weekend plans.

Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Tuesday 9 February 2016

Spent more time in my craft room last night and I got a couple projects done.

The first is a canvas I did that was started using left over paint from another project. First step was painting the canvas.

Then I added some glitter and some layers with gold Ferro, some bling and some writing.

After that I added some outlines to the letters with a gilt pen, and to the flower with some stickles

I finished it off by adding flowers and other other embellishments. This is the final result.

Next, I finished off the wooden canvases I was working on.  I started out by painting them - again with leftover paint from another project.

I also added some other paints, sprays and bling.

Then I hinged them together, and added more flowers and embellishments to finish it off. The end result is a pretty cool art piece I think.

So I hope you all like my projects! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Monday 8 February 2016

I had a very good crafty weekend. I got a bunch of organizing done, as well as some crafting.

I got some art journaling done. The Mardi Gras page is out of my own brain - for an ongoing challenge in one of the Facebook groups I am in. The other is the 5 min page that came with the online class I got from one of my fav scrapbook stores - Scrap Addicts. The awesome Cori-Lyn is so great at coming up with fab pages. I wish I had left more white in it, but I still love the end result.

Then I got a great goodie box from a cool lady that has decided to take a step back from scrapbooking and was selling off her stash. I got some GREAT goodies!!

I also got a bunch of different projects started. I have this habit of having about a dozen things on the go at the same time!  I will show things off as I get them done.

Til next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Saturday 6 February 2016

In one of the crafting groups I am in on Facebook I was asked to start a thread about showing off our craft spaces. If you look at my July 4th, 2014 post on my blog, you will see my link to where my craft room was featured on Canadian Scrapbookers blog in their Where You Create section.

But since that was a few years ago now and my space has changed/grown (as well as the fact that someone in my group asked if anyone had videoes of their craft spaces), I decided to do a video of my "girl cave"!

So check out my space and tell me what you think! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!
Last night I taught my card class for the library - that was supposed to happen last week but we were sidelined by the weather!

These are the cards I taught

We had 6 ladies and they all had fun making their cards

Everyone went home with three cards each

I really love how even though I showed them all the same way to make the cards, everyone's turned out just slightly different.

Gert's Cards

Helen's cards

I have already been asked when the next class is - that makes me feel good! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!
