Finishing some Swaps

Well I apparently got sidetracked yesterday and didn't post about what I worked on Monday night! I have been able to get down to my craft room after the kids go to bed so have gotten a few things done. I did some more work on the Kleenex folio and like how it is coming along!

I just love how when this dried I got the crackle look!

Then I finished up the ATCs that I started Monday night. I used my new stencil butters on them and I absolutely LOVE the colous on them!!

I am pretty happy with the final ATCs as well - hope my partner is too!

I also made her this shutter card - I so love this paper as it is gorgeous!!

The grandkids and I also did a bit of crafting last night! I got some bird houses from the Town office as part of the many programs they have been running for kids throughout the pandemic. So we painted them up and the kids LOVED it!!

I am hoping tonight to do more work, if not finish the folio album. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Happy Mail!

I got a bit of happy mail that I figured I would share today too. First up, I got a really nice swap from the new Facebook swap group I joined. All the gals in it are Canadian, so it makes the shipping a lot less. This one was to make some ATCs and my partner did a great job!

Then I got a few more Diamond Dot kits to add to my GROWING stash! LOL - but since I am gettingthem done fairly fast it is a good thing I keep getting more. At least that is how I am justifying it!

More Swaps Done - Mixed Media Canvas

As I said i nthe last post, I got two more swaps done this weekend. The second swap I finished was a mixed media canvas. I luckily got paired with my crafty pal Shirley. We had already decided for our swaps for April/May to do one tag and one canvas. So we decided to use this swap as our canvas. I started it awhile ago so it didn't take much for me to finish it off. But I thought I would show you the whole process in this post.

First up, I added texture paste through one of my larger stencils.

Next up, I added colour using the Dylusions Shimmer Sprays.

After that, I added some lighter highlights by using the Finnabair White Pearl Was. I also added some splotches of gold paint (but of course forgotto take photos of that step! LOL)

Here is the final project!

I also ended up doing just a bit more of my diamond dot last night. I only have the rest of the middle left, but I think it is coming along quite nicely.

Not sure if I will get down to my craft room much this week as we are supposed to have the kids. But I do have a couple more swaps to finish, so might have to head down there once they are in bed. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

More Swaps Done - Altered Cigar Box

I was able to get two more of my swaps finished. They came out really great if I do say so myself. I hope my partners like them. Fist up is the Altered Cigar Box for my one swap. This is the box I made for my partner.

And of course I had to fill it with goodies for her!

One Down

Well I stayed up REALLY late yesterday to get one of my swaps done. I was to make a Graphic 45 mini album and I wanted to get it all finished. I am really happy with how it came out - hopefully my partner likes it too!

Now I need to head down to my craft room and do more work on my swaps. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Getting Crafty Cause the Weather is Nuts

So my plan was to spend the majority of the weekend in my craft room - mostly because I have several swaps to get done and into the mail. The weather certainly helped as it was too nasty to even want to leave the house.  I didn't get a lot done last night, mostly prep stuff. But I did still have fun. First off, I painted the molds I was making - I plan to use these on the Altered Cigar Box I have to do as I told my partner I was going to do a Steampunk theme for her. I was going to use the new Dylusions glitter paint for them, but it wasn't really giving me the glitter look I wanted, so I just painted them plain black instead.

The next step I did use the new Dylusions Shimmer paint - the Calypso Teal. Of course I forgot to take photos! But they turned out exactly how I wanted.

Then I decided to do some more work on my diamond dots while my molds dried and I figured out what to do next. It is coming along pretty good I must say.

Ready for the Weekend

I don't have any specific crop this weekend, but I do have a few swaps to get finished and in the mail, so I am sure I will be spending most of the weekend in my craft room. I even got a few goodies today that I am gonna play with. I got the new stencil butters and I really want to see how they work.

I found this great tutorial on YouTube that shows how they work, so I am going to see if I can make them do the same. I have a mixed media ATC swap to do so thought these would work great for that.

Along with my goodies, the awesome Selena at Scrapendipity sent me a donation for our upcoming library crop. We are going to try and do our May crop this year. Will likely still be virtual, but we are gonna give it a try!

The other fun mail I got today was a gift that I ordered for my niece back in DECEMBER! I can't believe it actually showed up, and was really pretty! I showed her and she is super excited to get it.

Now I just need work to be done so I can go home and hang with my grandkids for awhile - and then get down to my craft room! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

More Dots! And Happy Mail

I decided to take a night off from my craft room last night to start another Diamond Dot canvas. I should have been doing it while watching the hockey game, but my Oilers are off for a bit as their opponent is down because of Covid. I decided I wouldn't let that stop me from starting my next canvas! And I decided to start my Oilers one in their honour! LOL

I am getting WAY faster at doing these. This only took me the one evening to get this far (before this much took me at least a couple days!). And I think I have hooked anothre friend, so had to show her my set up for doing them. I am looking forward to getting my light board - I think that might improve things even more for me.

I did also get some great happy mail in the last couple days. First up, I got a couple swaps in the mail. A butterfly tag from one Facebook swap group, and then a Graphic 45 Album and some tags from another group. I love them all!

Then today I got in some goodies from my pals at Scrap Addicts - I am looking forward to playing with the new Dylusions Glitter paints!! And I can' believe how FAST my daubers came in - I only ordered them on Saturday. Yay for Amazon Prime!!

I am not sure if I am gonna work on my swaps tonight or do more diamond dots. Either way I will have more to post soon. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
