Was a pretty productive crafty day for me on Saturday. Not only did I finish my swap, I did an online class. Not to mention that my AMAZING husband worked on building me some shelves so that I can get more organized! And this time I remembered to take before photos. This is the messiness that my craft room is at the moment.

And this is where the shelf is going to go.

He didn't get it finished today - as his drill died. But it is looking good so far!
I can't wait till it is finished and I can fill it.

I spent a good portion of the day finishing off the Matchbox Suitcases for my swap. They are coming along really well I have to say. The small one is so cute!!

Before I got them finished it was time for my online class with Seth Apter - we made mini books. The class taught how to do the binding, as well as doing collage work for the pages. During the class I got three sets of covers done.

I decided to finish off one of the books to send with my Suitcase swap. I ended up doing just basic pages for this book as I was using the Mechanical Seaworld paper which is so amazing by itself. I love how it came out. I took some photos, as well as a little video.

Once the class was over and the book was finished. I finished off the suitcases and got them ready for sending out. I hope my partner likes them!

I plan to spend more time in my craft room today and I am hoping my husband gets the shelves done. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Saturday 30 May 2020

So I was able to get down to my craft room last night and was able to finish off those two pages that I almost started on Thursday night. I did a bit of changing up on them, but my sister likes them, which is what I wanted.

I also started a swap project - I signed up for a Matchbook Suitcase swap. The swap had instructions on how to make it but I thought maybe I would try using the die cut I have. Of course, once I made it I realized it was pretty small. I am still going to give it to her but as an extra. It is stupid cute though!!

I started the proper sized one as well. Going to go off and finish them now! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Friday 29 May 2020

Got some exciting news before I headed home! I got a message from my pals at Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and they picked one of the cards I made for their June Card of the month contest! I don't win anything but recognition if my card wins, but it is so great to be asked!! This is the card they are gonna put in the running.

Once they put up the link I will share it - hoping you guys will go vote for me. I am now headed home to scrapbook, so till nextime stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
Didn't think I would get down to my craft room last night, but I did after all! I finished up the Brady Bunch themed layout I was working on with pictures of my crafty friends from our Shut-Ins group. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to!  I even submitted it to Creative Scrapbooker Magazine! Fingers crossed I make it into the magazine!!

UPDATE (JULY 22) - My layout got picked!! So I have to take it off here until the
magazine comes out in December!!

I was going to start another set of layouts for my neices graduation album, and I got out all the supplies as well.

I got thrown off though for a couple reasons. One, when I opened up the kit it turns out that it was not a two page layout kit, but THREE two page layouts! The original one I was going to do still fits for the layouts I want to put in Madison's book. The other two though are much more romantic - so instead they are going to become part of my wedding album I will have to adjust them though as my wedding album is not a 12X12 album. But the layouts are from the AMAZING Byrds Nest Paperie and I am sure I will be able to adjust them accordingly. But with this revelation I got a bit thrown off and decided to leave the layouts to do another day - my brain was just not co-operating. But I will have most of the weekend to work on them, and I also have some great ideas for the other pages in her book that I want to do too. So till next time stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Thursday 28 May 2020

I was able to finish off the flowers for my swap last night! I also got to show another friend how to make them - I guess doing tutorials is gonna be my thing now!  I am pretty happy with how they all came out - and I made her some extras too!

I also got some great happy mail yesterday from Treasured Memories and Scrapbook Fanatics - more fun stuff to play with!!

Not sure if I will get to my craft room tonight, but I did also do more work on my COVID layout so do want to finish that. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Wednesday 27 May 2020

Haven't done much crafting the last couple days - decided to be a bit lazy! But I do have a swap that needs to go out tomorrow, so thought I should work on it last night. And bonus I got to virtually hang out with my crafty pal Tricia. I was even able to show her how I make my paper flowers. So she called last night Tutorial Tuesday!

Since I have to finish the flowers and get them in the mail tomorrow, I will definately be in my craft room tonight. We might even try another online "tutorial"! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Monday 25 May 2020

Didn't get down to my craft room as much as I thought yesterday, but  did get a few things done. I did more organizing of a couple of my albums - figuring out the remaining photos to put in them and some page kits to use in them as well. I also started figuring out what I want to do with the photos for my COVID layout I plan to submit to Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. I hope to post that soon. I did get one layout done though. It is a picture of me from when I was 2 that I found when organizing.

Hoping to keep up the craftiness and have more things to post about this week. So till then, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Sunday 24 May 2020

Yesterday was another crafty day for me! The first thing that I did was a bunch of organizing! I had been storing a lot of my kits and paper packs in banker boxes, but they were falling apart. Instead I ended up getting plastic containers. Of course, since they were not the same shape things didn't fit in the same way. But that ended up being a good thing as I did some purging and found a lot of stuff for donations for the next crop - if we ever get to have one again! LOL. Here is a before photo - which I almost forgot to take!!

These are the bins I found to use

And this is the end result of my organizing!!

I ended up having to get another container for all my kits from Boozy Bear!
I have a ton as you can see, and now I need to get some of them done!! LOL

As I said, I ended up purging quite a bit, so I have a start on my donations for the next crop.

We had another Zoom meeting this weekend, and this time we did a group photo as we were all wearing our Social Distancing Scrapbooking t-shirts. Took a bit but we made it work!!

We even did one all holding our Creative Scrapbooker Magazines! Not sure we will get in the magazine as it isn't a high enough resolution photo, but we are gonna try and fix that!

I had to get a selfie too!

After all the organizing I actually got some crafting done. I did a couple more layouts for my nieces grad gift albums. Love how they came out!

I will likely be down in my craft room again today, so stay tuned for more photos. Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Saturday 23 May 2020

So I got down to my craft room last night and finished off one of the swaps I am in. We were supposed to make a mini book and I am pretty happy with how it came out. I had a few difficulties with a couple parts but I  got it all to work in the end! Here are some photos of it.

My plans are to spend the day in my craft room so will post photos as I can.  So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Friday 22 May 2020

I had big plans for crafting last night after work. However, after rolling my ankle earlier in the day my plans changed. I wasn't really in the crafting mood, but I did get a bunch of great happy mail, so had to go through it all and put it all away!

This is the SURPRISE BOX I got from Brutus Monroe

I also got goodies from R&R Scrapbooking

As welll as Scrap and Bean

I also got a treat from a scrapbooking friend of mine in the states. She sent me these adorable Steampunk Paper Dolls. I can't wait to put them on something.

I am hoping that my ankle is better and that I can get to my craft room this weekend. We have another Zoom meeting scheduled and I have swaps to do and my nieces album to work on, so should be able to keep busy. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps.
