A VINTAGE GIRL GUEST DESIGNER!!!

I can share my cool news now - my crafty pal Candy has asked me to be a guest designer for her A Vintage Girl brand!!! WOOHOOO!!!!! I am so excited - and of course I said YES!! Her A Vintage Girl Shop is amazing and I was already shopping there as soon as she told me about it. And when she asked me to be a guest designer she said she had a bunch of goodies to send me. And they came today! That is why I can share the news now. I didn't even want to wait to get home to open the box!!

And of course I had to do an unboxing video! Check out all the FANTABULOUS stuff I got!!

And I also got some goodies from Scrap Addicts today. Not enough for an unboxing video,
but figured I could still show them off in a picture!!

I am so excited to play with it all - I almost don't want to go camping this weekend. I want to stay home and craft. I don't think my hubby will like that though. We do have to be home on holiday Monday though so hoping I can get in some craft time! So till then, stay crafty my peeps!

A VINTAGE GIRL BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP!

My fabulous crafty friend Candy Rosenberg is having a birthday blog hop over at her A Vintage Girl site! Make sure you check it out tomorrow here!

And I am so excited - I have a surprise announcement to make too! Just have to confirm a couple things first. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Sunday 12 May 2019

Haven't had a lot of time to craft since I got home from my crop - mostly trying to get caught up for work and getting ready for the Margarittaville crop that is coming up in a couple weeks. But what I am really excited about is that MY DAD IS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL!!!!!

His doctors are very happy with his progress and he is feeling so good to be home!

And my sister's boyfriend got his curtains up, so his new man cave is done!

And he got a nice visit from my cousin Jim - a retired Brigadier General! It is so nice to see my dad getting back on his feet and feeling better. And his attitude is so much better too.

I am hoping to get down to my craft room here shortly, so until then stay crafty my peeps!

Crop Weekend - continuation!

So normally after a crop weekend, I head home on the Monday. But since my Dad was in the hospital this time I took an extra day to spend with him and my family.

I spent a bunch of time shopping for my dad - getting him stuff to outfit his new "man cave" room! I got him bedding and curtains.

I can't put up the curtains - but so far with the betting the room is looking better!

Then we had a girls night supper - took my mom, nieces and bestie Tricia out for mexican food (since it is the girls favourite restaurant and neither my dad or husband really like going there!)
We had a blast!!

And I ended my trip by making chocolate pies with my niece Taryn. Left them with some yummies to thank them for a great visit and fun weekend (even with my dad in the hospital!)

Now tomorrow is the long trek home! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

MAY THE 4th BE WITH YOU CROP - Day 3

So the last day of the crop was just as fun as all the others. We got more goodies - I just LOVE all the Star Wars paper that Daryll made for us!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I brought a WHOLE bunch of crafty goodies for Tricia since she had a flood and lost so much of her stuff. I love playing crafty Santa!! LOL

I enede up finishing some more layouts today. Pretty productive weekend, even
though I didn't really do much of what I brought with me.

There was also another make n take

It was another great crop. I didn't win any of the prizes, but that is ok. I got lots of freebies, as well as prizes for my Margaritaville crop. Very successful weekend I have to say!

I finished off the day by visiting with my Dad again. He is doing so much better
They even think he can go home within the week.

Normally I go home the day after the crop, but I am staying an extra day to get in more visits with my Dad. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

MAY THE 4th BE WITH YOU CROP - Day 2

Day two was even better than day 1 - mostly because my pal Tricia arrived! And I actually got some stuff done - though not really anything I brought with me!

These are all the goodies we got in our day two bag

And this is what I I got in my challenge bag,
along with the picture I decided to use for the project.

First off though, I did finish the layout I started last night. I absolutely
LOVE this picture my husband took of me and my oldest grandson Jacob.
I knew I had to do a layout of it and I am thrilled with how it came out.

Then I worked on the first challenge project. I love this picture of my dad and
my granddaughter from Dad's 80th birthday party.
I missed winning the contest by only one vote!!

Then it was on to making some Make N Takes - they were all
Star Wars themed but I loved them.

I ended up doing pretty much all Star Wars layouts - mostly because
the custom paper Daryll gave us was all just so damn cool!!
Didn't hurt that we had great costumesyesterday and cool shirts today!!
I love this photo of us in our shirts!!!

Here are some of the layouts I finished.

I also did the second challenge - this was was based on a scrapbook themed paper that the store brought in just for National Scrapbook Day. I was not as inspired with this paper, but I think I came up with a cute project. The paper coming out of the tag is on of my receipts from
shopping at Treasured Memories! LOL

Finished the day by completing a tag that I started at my crop at home last weekend.
Got my inspiration from the Tim Holtz class I took at Creativation, not to mention
all the cool vintage stuff that Treasured Memories carries.

All in all another amazing day. I also got in another visit with my Dad who is doing so much better every day. His doctors are very happy with his progress. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

MAY THE 4th BE WITH YOU CROP - Day 1

Despite Mother Nature being a real bitch and thinking it was winter instead of May, I did make it to the city in one piece! Of course my first stop was to see my Dad. It is hard seeing him so frail but he is doing much better and the doctor's think he will be fine. It just felt so good to see him in person.

Then it ws off to the crop! As usual we got spoiled - LOTS of goodies and custom paper made by Daryll (the owner of Treasured Memories). One of the many reasons I love their crops!!!

They had a really awesome supper too, but since I had a late lunch with my Mom, I only had the snacks/desserts that they served later. And boy were they good!!

This was one of the easiest crops to have a costume for - all I had to do was raid my husband's closet! I am so lucky he is a Star Wars GEEK!

I am the wookie! But damn is this costume ever HOT! I didn't wear it long that is for sure.

We had to get a group shot of course.

I even won a prize for my costume.

Other than visiting, I really didn't get a lot done at the crop on the first day. Here is hoping I get more done tomorrow! Till then, stay crafty my peeps!

HAPPY MAY!!

I hope everyone is as excited about the start of May as I am! I am off to the city today - not only for a crop but to visit with my Dad. He had a fall last week and is in the hospital because he broke his neck! The doctors figure he will be ok, but I am really glad I get to go see him!

But I am all packed and ready to head to the city! I cannot wait to see my Dad and all my crafty freinds!!

And I have all my Star Wars gear ready to go too!!

It is gonna be so fun - so till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!
