Well I did get down to my craft room after all last night. The hot weather has helped my creativity that is for sure. I got another two pages done for my cruise 2010 album. It wasn't too hard as the paper pack I used had a layout on the cover that I liked so I just scraplifted it - turning it from a one page layout into a two page one.

This should be my last post of the month though, as we are going camping right after work today. Unless I get happy mail and have time to post that before I leave. So I hope everyone has a nice long weekend. Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

So the heat wave continues, which means I am still spending time in my craft room since it is the coolest place in my house! I got a few more layouts done - so I am almost finished another trip! I started this first set earlier in the week but couldn't figure out how to finish it. Sleeping on it helped me come up with an idea!

Then for the next two pages, I used a layout from the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's Sketchy Group. I like it for inspiration - especially when I am doing a lot of pages and run out of ideas!!

This is the inspiration page

And this is my take on it - I also turned it into a two page layout!

I also did up a quick gift for a friend! I got this cute vase as a prize in a golf tournament, but it has sat in my trailer for a couple years as I knew I wouldn't use it. I added some alcohol inks to it to dress it up, as well as adding some ribbon. I am going to throw some crafty goodies into it for her as well. I am hoping she gets some use out of it!

Not sure if I am gonna get to the craft room tonight - we are going camping for the long weekend and I have to get ready. So until next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Got some great happy mail today! First, I got a swap from a partner in Australia! We had to make Graphic 45 ATC's for each other. Love what whe sent me!! She sent me a couple cute extras too!

I also got an order from Artful Days! They had a sale on all their metal trinkets, and I just couldn't resist getting a ton of them!! Got LOTS of ideas on how to use them all.

Not sure I am gonna get to my craft room tonight. Hockey is back and I think my team is playing. So if I can find in televised that is what I will be doing tonight! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!!

I just realized I forgot to post my other happy mail!! I got my altered paintbrush from my crafty pal Crystal. She blew me away! I almost feel like the one I made her is inadequate! I hope she still likes it cause hers for me is PHENOMENAL!!!!

I might have to make her something else so I don't feel guilty! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!
So I had a pretty eventful weekend, even though it didn't have a lot of crafting in it. I did get some fun goodies before I left on Friday. I meant to share them but then didn't get a chance to.  I can't wait to play them all!

Then the majority of my weekend was spent camping. It was a bit rainy, but really nice and relaxing. Well that is until the excitment we had - a BEAR showed up at the campsite just across from us. Less than 30 feet away. Once the dogs noticed it they went nuts and it went up a tree. Was just a black bear so was easily scared off. But my one dog Zoey spent the rest of the weekend searching for it!

Other than that we had a ton of fun on the weekend -
lots of relaxing and chilling in the great outdoor!

When I got home my house was SUPER HOT, so I decided to finish off that layout I started before I left. I am almost finished this album now!

I have a feeling I will be doing more crafting tonight, as the weather is still crazy hot so my house is an oven! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Friday, 24 July 2020

We are going to be camping this weekend, so not sure if I will get to my craft room. But I do have some crafting supplies with me in case it turns into a rainy weekend!  I also got a bit of happy mail yesterday - Scrappy Apple had a few things for my and my pal ShawnaLee grabbed them for me!

I did spend a little time in my basement, but didn't get anything completed. This is what I have in progress, but my brain wasn't working enough to get the layouts done.

If I get any happy mail today I will share it before I head out of town. Otherwise I likely won't be crafting till Sunday. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Thursday, 23 July 2020

I got some FABULOUS news yesterday - I am going to be published again!! Creative Scrapbooker Magazine is going to publish my COVID-19 "The Shut-In Bunch" layout in the Winter issue. So December 2020 I will be in print again!

I was also able to finish off the swap I wanted to do last night. My house was so hot that my craftroom was the best place to be. The swap was to make a matchbook, but the template I had was a bit smaller than we were supposed to do, but my partner said she was fine with that. Especially since I made her four of them!

It didn't take me long to finish these, and since my basement was the place to be I did another two page layout. It was from a kit, so that made it easier!

I am almost finished the cruise portion of this album, so I will likely be in my craft room again tonight. Especially since it is still stupid hot out! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Once again, my basement is the coolest place in my house so I went down to do a bit of crafting. I finished off a complimentary page to go along with the make n take layout that I did at last months Treasured Memories virtual crop. Love how it came out.

This is the page I did last night.

And as a reminder, this is the one it compliments.

I also got some happy mail yesterday - got one of my swaps from a great partner. It was the key tag swap and she totally spoiled me!!

Being another hot day, not to mention having another swap to finish, I will likely hit my craft room again tonight. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Tuesday, 21 July 2020

My sister and niece were able to get me the photo that I wanted to use on the make n take layout from this weekend's crop so I was able to finish the page. And I took my inspiration from one of my other crafty pals and turned it into a two pager with the other photo I asked my sister to send. Here is how they came out.

I also got a little bit of happy mail. A card kit is one of the things, but I think my favourite part is the ScorTape stacker. I love that I keep getting more organized!!

I wil likely do more crafting tonight, as my house is so hot and my craft room is the coolest place in the house. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps.

Monday, 20 July 2020

I really did have a very productive weekend. I got all three of my swaps done for my partner in Ireland. It was nice to be able to send them all together. I hope she likes them all.

The swap I finished off yesterday was an altered spoon. Originally, I wasn't supposed to have a partner for this swap, but one of my crafty pals asked me if I wanted to partner with her. And of course I did. I hope she likes what I did for her.

Then I started another swap. It is an altered matchbox swap and I got the boxes all done, but don't have them decorated yet. I wanted to make a card to go with them, and decided to try the theatre card that Chantel did as her last demo for the crop. I love how it came out - and it wasn't that hard either.

I hope to finish off the matchboxes tonight. And I got the pictures from my sister so should be able to finish my bbq layouts later tonight as well. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

TREASURED MEMORIES VIRTUAL CROP - Day 2

Another productive day for the second day of the crop - and no technical difficulties either!! I also got lots done yesterday too. Gonna do more today, but had to share what I did for the rest of the crop.

The first challenge was to use mostly red - so did a layout with my fab puppy.

Next up was the first make n take of the day. It was a layout. I don't have a picture for
it yet, but I know exactly what I want to do with it. I will be hopefully
finishing it on Monday. But this is how it worked so far.

I was looking at some projects some of my other crafty pals did and it gave me an idea
for a layout using the crafty photo Treasured Memories sent us. Love how it came out.

After I got this done I worked on the next challenge - make it distressed.
I decided to do a layout for my other nieces' graduation album.
I know I have a whole year to finish it but don't want to leave it to the last minute!

Whenever we do a TM crop, they always send us some super cute die cuts.
I decided to send one to my Irish swap partenr, and the other is going to go
on a second page for the Smoking Hot Grill master layout,
once I get the photographs for my sister.

The next challenge for the crop was to do something with a banner.
I made a card, which I sent to my sister-in-law.

The reason I sent this to my sister-in-law is that I put together a box of goodies for her.
She is building her crafty stash and I wanted to help her out.

TM always makes an effort to put in breaks so we don't forget to eat.
The summer crops at the store always include KC's famous stuffed burgers.
Since I couldn't have hers, we made our own. And they were yummy!

After supper, the next project was another make n take. I was this SUPER cute card.
I think this was one of my favourite make n takes we have done to date!

Then the next challenge was to do a summer theme. I have so many great photos of my
daughter-in-law and grandkids I used one of them for this challenge.

The last items on the agenda for the crop were another demo as well as one last challenge.
I am going to work on the demo today, but I did do the last challenge. Again, I used if for
one of my swaps. We had to create our own background, and I had to make some
summer themed ATC's for my Irish partner. This is what I came up with - killing
two birds with one stone!!

All in all, it was a very productive crop for me, once I got out of my head and decided to not let the technical glitches get to me! I have the best crafty friends!! I want to finish up a few more things today, so should have more to share tomorrow. So till then, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!
