Got the latest addition of Creative Scrapbooker, and I was in it. Not with a project this time but as part of one of the photos for the Carnival. It was kinda cool, cause Jackie took a group photo with me and a bunch of the ladies holding the bags I donated.

It was a great time and it was fun to see the photo in the magazine. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

My hubby knows me so well. He got me the BEST birthday gift! He got me a photo box so that I can take better pictures of my projects. I cannot WAIT to start using it! This is pretty much what it looks like.

I will try and start using it as soon as I can, since I will have a whole bunch of projects to do for Xmas and will want to take photos of them. So till next time stay crafty my peeps!

PAINT NIGHT

I was originally going to miss out on the last paint night of the year at Traditions but it turned out they had to change the date so I was able to make it after all. As usual, we had a blast - and I actually liked how my painting turned out from start to finish. Now I have a Christmas painting to hang up every year.

I have a bunch of Christmas gifts to make so I will have lots to post coming up. Till next time, stay crafty my peeps.

Some of the rest of my adventures in the city included hanging out with my pal Tricia after the crop was over. We had a great time going to Bubba Gumps for supper and then seeing a FANTASTIC movie (Bohemian Rhapsody). And of course we got some shopping in too.

A great way to end my weekend! So till next time stay crafty my peeps.

SCRAP ADDICTS BIRTHDAY CROP WEEKEND

So just got home after a GREAT weekend of crafty adventures with my gal pals in the city. It was SO MUCH FUN!  Here is a rundown of my adventures!

Had to take selfies with all my craft pals!

Then it was time to work on my projects. I spent most of my time working on an
advent calendar for Jeffery and Octavia

My Mom also asked me to make a birthday card for one of her friends

And then since it was their birthday, we had to have birthday cake and "champagne"!

And I even got a bunch of other projects done too!

I started this album for my pal Donna for her Christmas gift

And did this layout with a super cute picture of my grand daughter - using supplies from my design team supplies from Canvas Corp Brands

And another using this cute picture of Octavia covered in mud.
I love the custom paper I got from Treasured Memories

And I think my favourite project is the Steampunk layout I got done.

And I brought my journal so had to do a page in it. Again, I used Canvas Corp products.

It was a total blast of a weekend and I love hanging out will all my crafty friends in the city. It has been ages since I saw some of them so it was a great time. Till next time, stay crafty my peeps.

I have to get my photos from my crafty adventures in order, but this is one picture I didn't want to wait to post When my sister was in Manitoba lat month she picked up a painting from one of our cousins that my Dad had painted back in 1963! It is a paint by number, but still really awesome. I guess I come by my creativity from my Dad. Check it out.

And it is now hanging prominently in the front hall of Mom and Dad's house. I will post more photos from my weekend as soon as I can. So till then, stay crafty my peeps.

Scrappy Adventure Weekend!

I am all ready to go crafting for the weekend! I wish I didn't have to travel, but oh well.

I should have lots of photos to share throughout the weekend,
so till next time - stay crafty my peeps!

Sunday, 11 November 2018

We had another quiet day at home this weekend so took advantage and finished up another swap. This was another one for the Facebook group I am in called ReneaBouquets Artists With An Edge that promotes my crafty pal Renea's store. This time the swap was an Angel tag with a holiday theme. My biggest issues was that it was supposed to have an angel on it of some type and I didn't know if I had one. So I ended up making my version of an angel with some wings I had and a dress for chip board piece. I really love how it came out - so much I ALMOST don't want to send it out! LOL. But I will and I think my partner will like it.

I don't know how much else I will post this week as I am getting ready for my crafty adventure in the city, but I will have pictures of that adventure. So till next time stay crafty my peeps!

Saturday, 10 November 2018

So it has been a bit of a slow crafty month for me. After the all day event I didn't even get down to my craft room to clean up until today! And then since I have another crop coming up this weekend I didn't really even bother to unpack. I kinda just moved things around. I did have to do a bit of crafting though as I have some upcoming classes and a swap to finish.

The first thing I finished today was the class I am going to be doing in Rainbow Lake in a couple weeks. They wanted me to do a Christmas themed class and this is what I came up with.

I had wanted to use new Tim Holtz Sizzix die that is a moose but I haven't been able to get it yet so went with the snowflakes instead. But this way I can do the moose for myself when I teach the class and then can give this as a gift!

Got more stuff I want to do this weekend so till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

ALL DAY CROP AT SCRAPPY APPLE - LA CRETE

So this weekend was the all day crop in La Crete at Scrappy Apple - it was a lot of fun and we certainly got our money's worth! I went out on Friday with a couple of my crafty pals and we were the only ones there on Friday night. As you can see I packed fairly lightly for this crop.

And like I said we got started on Friday night

I even got one page done the first night!

So then starting on Saturday I did this first layout for the page contest.
I didn't win but I love how it came out!

Then I scrap lifted this idea from my pal Lisa and the page she did for the contest.

Then I did this layout with pictures of Jacob, Lucas and Sara

And then one of my brother and sister and when we were little. This photo shoot
was done in approximately 1972.

My next project was to work on Christmas cards. The paper I had made it pretty easy to come up with a bunch of different ones. I think I am set for the season!!

Since the gals  I was with are die hards and wanted to stay to the BITTER end, I ended up having enough time to finish another two page layout. Since I was tired and not very inspired, I went onto Pinterest and used them to come up with this.

All in all it was an amazing day spent with some great crafty pals. I had an absolute ball and got a lot done! I have another crafty adventure in the city coming up this month and lots of other ideas on things to do, so it should be a pretty crafty month. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!
