Well day two of the crop was just as productive as day one! It was so nice to finally get back to my craft room for more than just a second or two! I started off the day like I said, making cards out of all the rest of the die cuts from the goodie bag. Not only did they turn out great, I was able to use them for the challenges!
I used this card for the Bright and Bold Challenge
And this one for the Lots of Lines Challenge.
Then I made the last two die cuts into these two cards.
Once I got the cards done, I went back to doing the first challenge - Summer Memories. I did a layout with the new Simple Stories Lemon Twist paper line! I had a great photo of me with the kids that I used and I got my inspiration for the layout from the cover page of the paper pack. I absolutely LOVE how it ended up coming out!!
Next challenge was to use a Bold Title, so I used this challenge to create a birthday card for our friend Duncan, since we were headed over there for supper. I used my new Tim Holtz Distress Prize Ribbon spray, as well as some of the new stamps I got. It came out great!
With the card make n take I realized that I needed more space to showcase all the 3D projects that I have made and I got my fabulous hubby to make me some shelves to display them on. Now I can show them off in all their glory!
After I got all this stuff done, I only had one more challenge to do - Something that Makes you Smile. I had a couple swaps to do so used one of them for this challenge. I made a Graphic 45 card with the Under the Sea paper line. Turned out pretty good I have to say.
I finished up the night by completing one more swap project. This one was another card, but a slimline one this time. That is going all the way to Portugal! I used the Lemon Twist line again and I love how it came out.
It was another great day of cropping, and now that I am in the crafty mood I think I am going to spend the day in my craft room again. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!
