So I am getting all packed up to go to my crop this weekend. Really looking forward to it! And I got great happy mail today that I get to bring with me and play with. Check out my video of all my great stuff!!

As well as goodies for me to play with, I also got some FABULOUS prizes from the awesome Wendy at W2Scrapbooking, as well as supplies for one of the classes. Getting really excited about the crop.I hope everyone else is too!!

Gonna try and post pics while I am cropping, but if not I will when I get back. Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

So as promised, I took some better photos of the projects that I did this weekend. Looking at it now it doesn't seem like I got a whole lot done - too much visiting and shopping I guess!! But I still had a blast so all good.

The first project I did was this page kit from Monday Night Class. Still really sad that they stopped making kits as I really love their kits and I am always happy with the end result. I used photos from my visit with my nieces this summer on the layout. I even added my make n'take to it as it fit so well.

Then I did some organizing of my wedding album - trying to decide what I wanted to do with it all. I did start a page for it. It needs a bit more work - I think I am going to add paint splatters and perhaps a chipboard clock or another one I worked on. But I am happy with it so far. My cat almost wrecked it when I got home (dragged it off the table for some reason), but I can fix it no worries.

I also thought I would take some better pics of the canvas class I took. I really love how this turned out. It was a fabulous class!!

It really was an amazing weekend and I can't wait to do it all again next weekend. And heck - I get to have another crafty weekend this weekend with my pals from High Level and the gals in Grimshaw. Gonna be so much fun. Gotta go through all my stuff and figure out what I am going to bring.

Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

So I made it home in one piece! Completely exhausted though - didn't even unpack when I got home last night!!  I still have to take better photos of the projects I worked on, but here are some pics from my weekend so you can get at least an idea of how much fun I had!

The adventure started when I met up in Leduc with my BFF Cathy and we headed to Airdrie - we stayed with my son and his family! So I got to have a blast travelling with my buddy and got baby cuddles when we arrived.

Our first day at Carnival was on Friday, and we actually found the venue with absolutely no issues at all. Really a surprise as driving in the city is not my thing - especially Calgary as I have never done it before. We were even early and got to visit people and got lots of comments on out SUPER HERO costumes. We were Captain Embellishment and We R Memory Keepers Woman. Yes, we are crazy! LOL

Then spent the first bit after we got in going through our goodie bags. It is unbelievable how much they spoil us. I liked this years bag even better than last years. I am even keeping all of it too - last year I ended up donating some as prizes. Not this year - IT IS ALL MINE!!

Spent a fair amount of time gabbing/visiting and shopping, but did get some stuff done. I did a make and take that was so cool. I even ended up putting it on my layout!

As well as my layout I ended up doing a couple more pages. I want to take better pics, so will post those tomorrow.

My pal Cathy did a layout of me though and I have to share it. She blows me away with how awesome her layouts are. I think she got 11 done through the weekend. She is a rock star!!

Then we had day two! Again, we got to the venue with no problems - other than having a small problem getting in! That was easily fixed though and then we were off to the class we signed up for.

The class was AMAZING and I totally loved my finished canvas. I really love how when you do a mixed media class that even though the teacher is showing you all the same way to do it, everyone's ends up looking different. So cool.

We finished the weekend off by having a great meal in the city - where we met up with our fab pal Tricia. And then on Sunday my hubby and I went and got in a swim at the Coronation Pool - well that was what it was called 25 years ago when I used to go there! I forgot how much I love that pool. Great way to start our last day in the city!

And my hubby had fun too at his Comic Expo - and he got me a gift. Bought me a doll of my boyfriend! Lucky me!!

It was a real whirlwind, but totally had a blast! Now I have to go through all my stuff and sort out my purchases and goodie bag stuff from the donations I got for the library crop. And I have to start packing for the crop I am going to this weekend! And I will take better pics of my projects from the weekend and post those soon too.

Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

I had the most AMAZING scrappy weekend with my pal Cathy at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival!!! Got some projects done, took a class and just had a blast all around. And one of my layouts is gonna be published on the Creative Scrapbooker blog!!!

I was hoping to be able to post pics but haven't had time to use my laptop to do it and just can't get photons to leave at from my phone or iPad. So will do another post or two when the get home.

Till then - stay crafty my peeps!!

I am all packed for my crafty weekend!!!

I am SOOOO EXCITED to be going to the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival again with my buddy Cathy. And this year we are trying something different and going to the one in Calgary. This was our craziness from last year - can't WAIT to see what this year brings for us!!

I am bringing my laptop with me so I can hopefully post as the weekend progresses - since I can't get pics to post on my blog from my iPad! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

As I said, I got a LOT of crafting done this weekend with my hubby being away DJing. I did a bunch of art journaling.

Started off by prepping a bunch of my journals - more than I even worked on!

Then I got some of the journal classes done that I got from the FABULOUS Cori-Lyn at Scrap Addicts. I got these from her way back in March so it was about time I got to them. I got one of the main ones done, along with a a couple of the fast "5 minute backgrounds" as she calls them. I personally think they are great as finished pages. Really love doing these classes and so happy that she films them so I can do them since I am not in the city to do them in person.

This one is one of my favourite ones EVER. So cool how the Prima paints come out.

Then this is one of the background ones that I love as a completed page.

Then this is the other background page. But I thought it needed a bit of something.

So I added a bit more and love the result!

Make sure you check out the link I have below to Scrap Addicts store - they offer such awesome classes - even if you don't live in Edmonton!!

I also did a bit more work on the other class I had from her but I am still working on it so it will have to be in another post. I also got more work done on another project and started packing for my Carnival adventure this weekend. Will post on them tomorrow. Till then - stay crafty my peeps!

Finished up another swap this weekend. It was supposed to be a cigar box with a tag, but since I didn't have a cigar box (and I live in the middle of nowhere and can't get one!) I asked my swap partner if she was ok with me doing a chipboard suitcase that I had. I had a lot of fun making it and really hope my partner likes it too!

So this is the suitcase and all the goodies that I threw in for her!

And these are the tags I made for her. I was only supposed to make her one,
but as normal I went overboard and made two!

I still want to make a card a card to go with this, so will be getting it in the mail tomorrow. I did a lot of other crafting on the weekend too, so will do more posts as I have time. Till then, stay crafty my peeps!
So I had thought that I did this post last night - and apparently I did, but never hit publish! Really LONG weekend!!

Anyway, I got a lot of crafting done this weekend - my hubby was away DJing on Saturday evening so I spent the time in my craft room. I will be seeing all my grandsons this weekend and I never did get anything for my oldest grandson's mom for her wedding so I made her a couple wedding gifts. One is a blanket I embroidered for them and the other is a shadow box with a picture from their wedding. Hope they like them!

Can't wait to see them all! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Wednesday, 14 September 2016

I got the coolest swap in the mail yesterday! I signed up for a Greek Mythology swap and my partner Tosha made me a canvas with the Goddess of Scrapbooking. I LOVE IT!!

Can't wait to find a place to hang it.

I did more work on a couple projects last night but didn't have time to take pics. I will post more tomorrow. Till then - stay crafty my peeps!

Tuesday, 13 September 2016

Didn't spend as much time in my craft room as I wanted last night as I had to go out to Fort for a meeting, but I did get some more stuff done.

Did more work on my Halloween swap. Hope my partner likes it as I am really liking how it is coming together!

And then I took my pal Wendy's advice (from W2Scrapbooking) and did some white on my journal page. So love the effect!! Not sure the next step but loving where it is going so far!

Not sure when I will next get to craft, but till then - stay crafty my peeps!

Monday, 12 September 2016

This past weekend was supposed to be our last camping weekend but when the weather called for rain all weekend my hubby decided he didn't want to go after all. Works for me - I got more time in my craft room!!

While crafting this weekend, I also was burning the Charmed Aroma candle that I got - and I found my ring in it! I wiped off the code by mistake, but as soon as I emailed them I got a response right away. My ring is worth $80.00. Not bad!

I was also able to FINALLY do one of the journal classes I got from the fab Cori-Lyn at Scrap Addicts! I really love how this one turned out. So cool!!

It inspired me to do another page using similar techniques. I am not sure where I am going with this one, but I like it so far!!

Finally, I did more work on another of my swap projects. I was supposed to be doing a cigar box, but since I can't find one here, my partner said she was fine with me altering this chipboard suitcase. Happy with the progress so far - hope my partner feels the same.

So I hope to get more work done on these projects, so till next time - stay crafty my peeps!
