Art Fest Day 1

So the first day of Dooreen's very first Virtual Art Fest was an absolute BLAST!!! Dooreen is such a hoot and she made everything so fun! I didn't get a lot done the first night but I did pretty good I have to say. I spent a TON of time fussy cutting but in the end I got a couple cute projects done!

Getting on my craft on!

Fussy Cutting - NOT my favourite thing to do but I got it done!!

I finished the first Take N Make - a Pocket Journal

I did get a bit more work done on the folio project I have on the go, but I am going to save those photos till another post.  I did use one of the tags that is going into the folio for Challenge #1 of Art Fest - using a napkin. I love how it came out!!

The only thing I didn't get done from yesterday was the Mail Art Demo - hoping to get that done today. So now I am off to start Day Two of Art Fest, as well as the Scrap Addicts Christmas in July Crop today. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps.

ATCs

So it has been a slow crafty week - actually had to do real work at my store to get caught up, then was doing fun things like golfing and hanging with friends! But this weekend is all about the crafting, as I have three different virtual events this weekend that I am participating in! I should be able to get lots done!! And I get to kick off the weekend by recieving some ultra cool ATCs! I got my ATCs from the a3atcswapgroup that I am in. I really love how cool and different they all are. AND that they are from all over the world!! This time I got two from Germany, one from South Africa, and two from the US - Texas and Colorado to be precise. Check out how cute they are!!

Now I just have to wait for work to be over so I can get home and start creating! I have one event starting tonight - the Virtual Art Fest that my crafty pal Dooreen is putting on through Treasured Memories. Then tomorrow I have day two of the Art Fest, a crop with Scrap Addicts as well as a class from Spellbinders that they are putting on. Should be a productive weekend!! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

Getting Unpacked!

Haven't done much since I got back to the city - catching up on work always takes a day or two! But I did finally get back to my craft room to at least put things away. Biggest issue was putting together the clip it up that I picked up from my friend Pam. But with my hubbies help I got it figured out. Between it and the smaller one I got I won't have to worry about where to display my ATCs and stuff for a LONG time!!

I did do a little crafting last night though - I have folio swap to do and I just happened to win a folio from Treasured Memories so put it together last night. Now all I have to do is paper it!!

I have to get this swap done as I am late with it - luckily my partner is very understanding! And I have three different crop/craft events this weekend, so should be fun! Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

HAPPY JULY!!!

Hey all! I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend - I know I did. I didn't do any actual crafting, as I was in the city, but I did go to ALL the craft stores I could so I have goodies to share with you to start the month off right! I got to Treasured Memories, Scrap Addicts, and R & R Scrapbooking. A very successful trip for sure - LOL! Check out all my goodies!

These are the goodies for the Christmas in July Crop in a Box crop coming up
this weekend with Scrap Addicts. Looking forward to it for sure.

Then since my pal ShawnaLee needed me to go to R & R Scrapbooking for her
I had to do some shopping there for myself!

And it wouldn't be a trip to the city if I didn't have other goodies to get
at Scrap Addicts as well! Along with a couple items I saw that I wanted, I got the
kit for the OTHER class I have this weekend - Jar of Possiblities by
Elizabeth Crafts that Scrap Addicts is also doing.

Then it was off to Treasured Memories. I didn't really do any shopping with them, as I just got stuff from them, but I did have to pick up the prize I won at the last crop, as well as the latest ATCs from the June swap that were left for me. It just blows my mind the talent in this group - the ATCs are all amazing!! I love this swap group!!!

My Prize!

My ATCs

Of course it wouldn't be a trip to TM if I didn't buy SOMETHING! So I got a few die cuts.

I also got to pick up a cute goodie box that one of the gals I Zoom craft made for me.
Julinor is so sweet - she put a moose on it just for me!
Unfortunatley the candy in it melted in the heat of my car. OOPS!

Definatley a successful crafty stash pick up in the city! And I came home today to another box of goodies from another of my favourite stores, Scrapbooking Fanatics. More crafty goodness!!

Now I am excited to get home and unpack/play with it all! And things are looking up with Covid - the restrictions are easing and I hope we are starting to get back to normal! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Taryn's Grad Album is DONE!!!

Well I did it! I finished my youngest niece's grad album! I wasn't sure I was going to, even though I got the photos I needed. Mostly because it was so damn hot in my house, even in my basement, that I wasn't sure I was going to have the brain power necessary to get them done. But I did. I talked to my niece after her grad and what we decided to do was that I would use the photos I had on hand for grade 9 and grade 12 even though the grade 9 one was a bad copy and the grade 12 one not her favourite. I just made sure I didn't put anything over the photos (like flowers or anything) and this way when she gets the proper photos, she just has to print them and put them over the ones I used. I am even going to leave her a tape runner so she can do that. It worked out great as that way I was able to complete the whole album and not leave out any pages.

Nothing like leaving the project till the last minute - even when I had a whole year to work on it! LOL!! But in the end it came together great and I am sure she is gonna love it. I cannot WAIT to give it to her this weekend! And now I am all ready for a bit of a holiday in the city. It is going to be nice to get out of town and see family. This pandemic has been so hard on everyone. Here's hoping we are coming to the end of it. Happy July everyone and will be back with more projects soon. Till next time, stay crafty my peeps!!

More ATCs done!

So like I predicted, the weather was gross again so hiding in my craft room was the place to be in my house! And I was able to finish off the Gnome ATCs that I started on the weekend. I really love how they turned out!

And today my sister was able to get me photos of Taryn's graduation, so I am thinking I am going to actually be able to finish her book before we go to the city! Fingers crossed!!! Till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps.

More Projects Finished

As I said, with the heat wave continuing, the only livable place in my house is my craft room, so I got more stuff done this weekend! I ended up finishing off those ATCs that I started and I am using them for the August crop for the Amy's Art Alchemy group. To start them I had used the left over glimmer paint I used for my flip flop ATCs and I added Ranger Enamel Accents to them to give them a pop of black. Then I got the idea to add die cuts and sayings from Art by Marlene to complete them, as the colours and images of her die cuts went great with the backgrounds I created. I absolutley LOVE how they came out!!

Then while working on these ATCs, I got assigned a partner for ANOTHER ATC swap, so I decided to make those as well! I had a couple ATCs that I had started the backgrounds for, so just added some text and images to them and BOOM - another swap in the bag!

I also got another set of ATCs done for a third swap I was in, but I can't finish them as they still need to dry and set. But they look pretty cute so far!

Since the heat wave isn't expected to be done any time soon, I figure I will get a bit more crafting done this week. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
