So my last blog post for March is going to be about happy mail! I am headed to the city to see a hockey game this weekend and I doubt I will get down to my craft room before we go. So to end the month I have to share the cool new stuff I got from Artful Days - a FANTABULOUS site I found to get cool stuff for my crafting. I found them through the classes I signed up for at Mixed Up Creative Academy. I haven't actually FINISHED any of the classes I signed up for yet, but I can't wait to play!

Since I am still working on fine tuning my video skills, I thought I would show you some close up pictures of some of the goodies I got! The resins especially so you can see the wicked detail on them!

I cannot wait to create with all of these! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Ended up having a very productive craft night last night - went down to my craft room to put away some new supplies and ended up making a spur of the moment project!

First off, I got some items last week that I ordered from Scrapbooking Fanatics - I have been so busy I hadn't had a chance to do an unboxing video. I got mostly just ordinary supplies, but did get some cool other items. Check out the video - as I also did a little tutorial/sample of how the new pencils I ordered worked.

The tags are kinda fun too -
and it seems that I have more tags for backgrounds to use now as well!

And the reason I ended up finding the little box I created is that I was looking through my supplies of chipboard items for anything I could use on the two canvases that I started on the weekend. This is what I have come up with so far.

But when looking through my stash, I found this little box kit that I got from SA Crafters (who, unfortunately are not around anymore - at least not making kits like these). I ended up turning it into this cute little Steampunk Trinket Box. Really happy with how it came out - especially since it was so spur of the moment.

Kinda fun to have a craft night in the middle of the week! I am hoping to get down there a bit more this week before the month is over! So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Was able to get some good pictures of the ATC's I made to go along with my tag swap. I was so excited to get everything done and in the mail that I forgot to keep one of the tags for myself! Luckily Brittany is just going to send me one back! And I told her one of the ATC's is for her so she was pretty happy. I played with my new Alcohol Ink Pearls and got some cool backgrounds. Here are some pics of the ATC's.

Like I said before, pretty successful crafty weekend. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Well we had a GREAT time on our date night in Grande Prairie. KINKY BOOTS was SOOOOOO worth the trip!

And then when I got home I got to do some more crafting. Pretty good way to finish off the weekend. I am still waiting for the ATC's I made to dry, so I will post pictures of them tomorrow. But I did also finish off a couple journal pages. One was inspired by my crafty pal Matt and a video he did to showcase some Dylusions products. He has had to make some changes so I can't post the link to the video just yet, but make sure you check out his Facebook page. And I will post a link to the video as soon as I can. But in the meantime, here is how my page came out. I changed things a bit, but I love the end result.

When trying to finish this page I wanted to practice the writing first with the ink writers I had, so used a tag to practice. I added a couple other colours so now I have a fun background for another tag/project! My pal Matt said it looks like confetti - lol.

I also finished another page this weekend. This started out as just a page that I used to use up some paint from another project. Then I used a couple stencils on it. Matt also gave me some inspiration on how to finish it - he suggested the paint on the end of the brushes and the paint splashes. Another successful page I think.

Pretty happy with the end results. I also ended up with more leftover paint again so wanted another way to use it up. I started a couple canvases and used the same technique my pal Mary from Messy Joys & Art showed me at the last paint night. I have some ideas on how to finish them - but I really love the way the backgrounds came out - and I didn't waste any paint either!!!

As I said, a great weekend with a date night and spending a bunch of time in my craft room. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

I FINALLY got a chance to take better photos of the tags I made for a tag swap. We are headed to Grande Prairie this afternoon for a date night (we are going to see Kinky Boots!). But I wanted to get the blog about these done before we headed out. The theme was shabby spring/Maggie Holmes inspired. I don't have any Maggie Holmes products, but I was able to find images online so I think I got a similar idea. I am hoping my partners like them! Here is how they turned out.

I am thinking of making some ATC's as extras, but I won't be able to finish them until tomorrow when I get home. So till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

I have had a pretty crazy week and still haven't had a chance to finish off the tag swap I was working on. Or open all of the goodies I got in the mail! But I did get a swap and was able to open it and get some pictures.

I got my shaker card from CJ and it is AMAZING!! I am glad she liked mine as it almost doesn't seem enough compared to hers. And I got some cool goodies too!

I also bought myself some artwork yesterday! My pal Mary (from Messy Joys & Arts) had an art sale to clear out some of her paintings and I just HAD to get this one!

Can't wait to hang it up! I have some goodies to open tonight after work and hopefully more mail today, so till next time, stay crafty my peeps!

Had a pretty busy week, so didn't get down to my craft room much. But I did do some stuff this weekend! First off, Scrappy Apple in La Crete got in the new Graphic 45 lines so I HAD to run out there and get my Kalaidescope paper!

Check out all my goodies I got from Leona and Scrappy Apple.

I bought this fabulous Ferris Wheel from Kaisercraft Beyond the page a few years ago and had SEVERAL ideas about what to do with it but couldn't put my finger on exactly what I wanted to do. Now that I have this paper though I have the PERFECT project for it!!

My amazing niece Taryn is going to make me little clay animals for each section and they are going to go with the Kalaidescope paper! I cannot WAIT to get started on this project.

I really excited my neice too as I had told her that I was going to give her the supplies for the project, but I decided to give her all my Dian Wakely paints, since I don't really use them any more. I wish I could have seen her face when I told her - she was SUPER EXCITED!!

I did also finish a swap project this weekend, but I have to take some better photos, so that will be a separate post. I did do a bit of art journaling though. I was inspired to do this page by my pal Matt and a super cool video he did using the Dylusions paints. I only got the background done, but I am loving how it looks so far!

And I worked on another page that I had started a while ago using up some paint from another project. I wasn't sure what to do next, but Matt gave me some ideas so I hope to finish it tonight!

I will hopefully get to my craft room more this week, so till then, stay crafty my peeps!
