A VINTAGE GIRL GUEST DESIGN PROJECT

As I said last month, my AMAZING crafty pal Candy Rosenberg asked me to be a guest designer for her new A Vintage Girl Shop and of course I said yes! I was SO EXCITED to get all the goodies she sent, and then I got evacuated, so things got pushed back a bit. But I was able to get back into my craft room finally these last couple weeks and I was able to finish one project last weekend. I have several ideas but this is the first and it came together very nicely I think!

I started off with the fantabulous wings Candy sent me, along with some new paint pouring paint that I got from another company (Colour Pour), along with some gesso and a small canvas.

I had the idea to use the wings as a sort of stencil on the canvas as well as having the pour design on the wings themselves. Since it was my first try it didn't come out exactly as I had envisioned, but the end resuls were still kinda cool. The wings were not quite as shiny as I wanted so I had to add some glitter to them! LOL

And then in the process of getting the wings punched out I discovered that I really liked the look of the left over pieces and they would make a great addition to the canvas. I of course had to spray them with glitter as well. And the A VINTAGE GIRL title piece was a must add to the project.  It was coming along nicely at this point.

The last stage was to add bling! I found a lot of great ephemera in my stash to add to the project.  Here are some close ups of the finished canvas.

I decided to call the project "WINGING IT"

 - since that is kinda what I did for the whole process, LOL!!
