I don't think I will be doing any crafting tonight - I have to finish getting packed and ready for my trip to the city. But I had to share the great happy mail I got the last couple days!

First off, I got some goodies from my pal Sandy at Scrapbooking Fanatics. She has started doing a monthly card kit club and I just love the gnome paper so had to get it, as well as a few extras. Sandy is the first store I shopped with when I started crafting so I love supporting her! She was definately one of the first to feed my obsession!!

And then speaking of gnomes, my totally awesome friend Cindy who has a great site called Cinderella Scraps sent me the most AMAZING Steampunk Gnome. It so damn cute. Make sure you check her out as her creations are beyond phenomenal!!!!

I could have quite the collection soon as I just love everything she makes! So I hope everyone has a great Canada Day and I will be back with more fun stuff to share after I get back from the city. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

I actually decided to go down to my craft room this weekend and do a few things - I knew I wouldn't be able to stay away that long! I did one of the layouts for my other nieces grad album. I know I have a year to finish that one, but I wanted to do the COVID themed layout so I could give the rest of the COVID paper to my pal Tricia when I see her this weekend.  I am pretty happy with how it came out!

When I was cleaning up some of my stuff I found a couple pieces of paper I wanted to use, so turned them into a little card.

The other big project I did was finishing off a Steampunk project. After the Steampunk Blog Hop I was invited to I found another steampunk hop that is asking for a couple design team members. I figured I would finish off this project and try and become a design team member for the Steampunk Challenge Blog and their Steampunk Summer Challenge.

This is how the mask started out - it hung on my kitchen wall like this for years!

The first step was to add texture paste and paint it all black as well.

After that I started adding Finnabair waxes in a variety of colours

I went a bit nuts with the waxes - but I got the colours and look I wanted!

The last step was to add all the embellishments.
Here are some close up photos, as well as a photo of the final project.

As well as doing some crafting I also got myself organized and packed for my trip this weekend. I didn't want to bring too much stuff with me so packed pretty lightly. I am just going to work on some card kits I have. I am not sure I am going to get to my craft room before I leave, but I am going to try. I am expecting some happy mail today, and my house is so hot my craft room tends to be my favourite place to be! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

So I have actually taken a bit of a break from my craft room this week, since I got my nieces album all finished. I couldn't leave it alone all together though, but that is mostly as it is currently the coolest room in my house and it has been hot this week!  I finally got the chance to sort out my flowers and ephemera into the new container that I got from Scrappy Apple.

Of course what it made me realize is that I need a second - possibly third - container!! LOL

And then yesterday I got some happy mail! I got some cool paper from R & R Scrapbooking, as well as a super cute card kit that included dies and stamps. I also got some paper a friend recommended for using with my COPIC markers. I am all set to do more creating!!

I am likely going to do some crafting this weekend - we were gonna go camping but our trailer had to go in for repairs. I think I am going to do at least the COVID page for my other nieces album, as I promised a crafty pal in Edmonton I would share the paper with her that I didn't use and I am headed to the city next weekend. So until next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

So I did it - I finished the album for my niece for her graduation giftt! I figured it out - in the last 10 days I have done 27 pages. I think that is a record for me for sure!! The last page was an earlier one as I was waiting on some specific paper from Treasured Memories so that I could finish it - the ballet dancer die cut to be precise. I love how it came out - I was inspired by a page my crafty pal Tricia did during our last online crop.

I did a little video too so you can see all the pages together in the album.

It is a relief to be done for sure - and with time to spare! LOL I can't wait till next weekend to give it to her. Luckily my sister and I get to do it together in person.

I also got some happy mail yesterday. One of the swaps I am in arrived. A whole bunch of cute die cut flowers. Really nice - I love this new swapping group  I joined as I have gotten some great stuff.

So I think I may take a few days off from crafting, since I have done SO MUCH lately. But it won't be long that is for sure! So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!

Monday, 22 June 2020

Well my weekend was NOT what I had anticipated that is for sure. I knew I wasn't going to do any crafting on Friday and I didn't, but not for the reasons I thought. I ended up having a small accident at work and got hit in the face by one of my machines. Ended up having to have an emergency dental appointment. I am ok but it really messed with my weekend! We still did end up camping, but only stayed one day because we weren't sure the weather was going to hold up. By the end of the weekend I had actually done a whole bunch of crafting as we ended up at home and I needed to take my mind off my sore face!

I ended up getting the album for my niece pretty much DONE!! I only have ONE page left and I have to wait for some supplies I ordered to arrive so I can finish it. I actually looked back and counted and in the last 8 days I have done 27 layouts!! I surprised even myself with that number. So here is a look at everything I did over the weekend

Came up with the idea for this one on Thursday when doing the layouts I did that night,
but was too tired to finish it then, since it involved a LOT of fussy cutting.
Happy with the end results.

My sister loved this one and thinks Madi will be thrilled with it!

Had to use llama paper for the llama shirt photo!

Used some of my newest products on this one

And this one is inspired by the AMAZING Nicole Wright!!

2020 wouldn't be complete without a COVID layout - especially since that is how both my
nieces had to do school this last few months!

This is one of my sister's favourite photos of her and her girls.

Got to include a bumch of Madison's photos from her official graduation day.

Plus, her official grad photos arrived in time so that I can complete the last page!

The whole album is pretty thick, but it isn't actually even as thick as I thought it might be! It won't close per se, but standing up it isn't too wide open. I am beyond thrilled with how it all come out!!

All I have left now to do is one page - with the ballet photos from the brief time both girls were in lessons here in town. I was waiting for some specific products to arrive and most of them did today, so I might even finish the album today. Will see how the night goes. So until next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!!

Friday, 19 June 2020

Wasn't  quite as productive last night, but I did get two more layouts done for Madison's album. So now I only have 10 pages left! I think I will be good to have it done for my trip to the city!

I also go a great happy mail package yesterday - a bunch of great  Simple Stories paper and embellishments for doing more of my cruise vacation photos!!

I won't be doing much crafting until at least Sunday - we are FINALLY getting the chance to do some camping. It will be our first of the summer. So till next time, stay safe and stay crafty my peeps!
